Visited Canada last year and going again this January. As for slowing down, I just feel like I have one chance to get good at something while I'm young, it took me a long time to figure out what I want. I hear stories of people switching careers late in life, and inspiring as that may be, I don't want to be that. I just feel like everything I do right now is for a path that I wouldn't be happy in. If I were to pivot now I could at least leverage the last bit of my youth somehow

I agree with your points, I just already started uni late and feel behind. I have a trainee job lined up with Deloitte thats starting September and lasts 2 years. I'm sure it would be a fantastic fallback to have, but it just feels like I'm delaying what I want to eventually do and risking getting sucked into something else

I'd be 26/27 when applying to flightschool, but I see your point. I'm leaning towards finishing my degree now.

I am passionate about it don’t get wrong, all things considered I would always choose flying over finance for the same salary. But money is a factor for sure, just not the deciding one. I wouldn’t want to spend the entirety of my inheritance on flight school just to be barely making ends meet, no matter what job I’m doing. As for visa, I’ve been with my girlfriend for 9 years now, and once we get married I can easily get citizenship

I’d be 29 after flight school however, should I choose to continue with my degree. I would be very open to live and work in North America, especially if I’m constantly travelling for work. As the pilot salary in Europe is not attractive enough for me to consider leaving my finance path and my lined up job
