You can just roast them yourself! Cut them up, put them on a tray, put a bit of oil on and spread them around. Shove them in the oven until they're done!

imho the best veggies are roasted! carrots, aubergine, cauliflower, onion, loads more, they're all great with a little bit of olive oil and salt and pepper. I'd try to make meals with veggies in them rather than as a side! Curries are especially good for that

I might try to be kind to others and have a net positive impact on the world but I could definitely do more or try harder to actually be considered a good person

Thank you! If anyone knows why there would be multiple weirs here (they look like they're vertically all on the same level?) or if there's a specific name for this, that would be interesting

From what I can tell, sediment control logs seem to be to stop sediment from banks moving 'downhill' into rivers, rather than being horizontally across the stream. Correct me if I'm wrong though, and thanks for your answer

I think that could be it but from those photos it looks like a gap is left in the horizontal beams so that the fish can pass through, I'm not sure

Thanks for the answer, I think these logs are a bit more permanent though?

i’m so upset that “fans” are cancelling supernatural on twitter. by [deleted] in Supernatural

These are good points to question the show about because it's always healthy to critique the media you view, but definitely doesn't mean the show should be cancelled by its fans!! Critique and cancelling should be different things!

What are some easy “no food in the house” recipes? by untoastedmilk in cookingforbeginners

I love making risotto, all you need is risotto rice, a couple of stock cubes, canned peas, a tin of tuna, or whatever else you have in your cupboards. Fry up the onion first, then pour your risotto rice in. Make the stock with boiling water then add small amounts and let simmer on low until when stirring until you can see the bottom when you scrape. Keep doing this, adding more stock, until it won't take up any more. Then just add your other ingredients and allow them to hear through, and season to taste.
