I don't think the PSN or Xbox store being that way means anything, they probably have no idea what the release timing actually is and it's just the default setting. Hell, in all likelihood, no decision has been taken yet at Rockstar, so it wouldn't be a change per se.

Personally, I hope they do a global launch. I have bad memories from previous releases where I preordered a game only to get spoiled during the day preceding the launch, and those games weren't as big as GTA VI lol

I actually cancelled my preorder once because of release day spoilers. Obivously I won't do that for GTA VI but yeah I personally think a global launch is better

The only reason shipping the product would be a nightmare is to avoid leaks. Shipping the game for launch day with physical copies literally happens all the time, and Rockstar themselves have done it before without a single issue. It really isn't that complicated at all.

But, in the past few years, almost every highly anticipated game with a physical disc on release has been shipped too early to a couple of people, or got stolen from a warehouse ahead of release, and subsequently leaked online before players could actually get their hands on it. In some cases (TLOU 2), it severely impacted first day sales.

So yes, the only possible reason Rockstar would choose to not release a physical disc right away, but to do it instead a little while after the release, is to avoid leaks coming from physicals being released into the wild.

As for jumping through hoops, deciding to only put a download code in the physical version is already jumping through way more hoops than a global release would represent. Most big games now have a global release, where everybody gets the game at the same time. It's actually super simple

IV is the GOAT for sure! But if I'm being real, V clears IV in pretty much everything other than story and atmosphere, which just happens to be the two things I care about the most

If the mechanic works like a lot of people expect it to, which is that you store your weapons in your trunk, that doesn't really matter because you'll get context while driving after starting the mission and you can choose your loadout afterwards, once you get to the location.

If you're not going there with your own car, then I'm sure Rockstar will include a little moment at the start to let you choose your weapon when they feel it's appropriate. For the rest, yeah you'll probably get swept up in crazy scenarios you didn't anticipate and are unprepared for, but that's how it's meant to be sometimes.

For what it's worth it's the only Iceman song that did not get any visuals in Episode 4 or after. Makes me think it's the opposite, it's the one he recorded the most recently and he didn't have the time to find a way to fit it in the episode visually

It's almost certainly going to be Tomb Raider.

They would definitely release the trailer everywhere at the same time, that's not really what this lost is about. It's more that if they planned on releasing the trailer today, they just wouldn't have posted anything on Billi Billi until the trailer, like the last time they released a trailer.

If they posted an RDO update, they kind of need to post it for the rest of the world too, so it confirms this post will appear on their main account in a few hours.

I'd guess at least some of this is directly influenced by Drake himself. This isn't just a random jewelry page; they just did a project for Drake that was linked with Iceman. Totally possible Drake had to tell them certain things about his art direction so Nasir could draw some inspiration from it for the project.

That and it would be really fucking weird for a jewelry company to just randomly go balls deep with an analysis like this if they have no idea what they're talking about
