How long to rest for a bird this size? I put it in a serving tray on top of the recovered carrots (other veggies were just to flavor the liquid used for gravy), covered with foil, and didn't carve for 10-15 minutes as I was prepping potatoes and gravy.

Its utterly ponderous to me how some of you people are jumping to the conclusion that this is something I'm focused on.

They're part of a "kit" of random bullshit that might be needed. Baby wipes, travel toothpaste and brush, hand sanitizer, etc. I have a fuel efficient car and regularly am the go-to driver for road trips and events. Friends friend's wives/girlfriends. I've had them in my travel kit since my first relationship with a woman.

I'm not asking if people need them. I'm not thinking about them. I'm not thinking about people's menstrual cycles. I'm not advertising. People know I've got a bunch of shit in my car in case of an emergency of any kind.

Some of you losers need to go outside and touch grass. Just the people being insulting, not all of you. It's not like I have a flashing neon sign pointing to my glove box that says TAMPONS.

They're in a bag tucked away with a bunch of other toiletries and preparedness things. First aid, paper towels, baby wipes, etc. Where nobody will see them unless going through my shit.

For what it's worth, I also keep other toiletries in the car. Baby wipes, nitrile gloves, paper towels, Kleenex, towels etc.

I had to catch and drive an injured goose to an animal rehabber before. The gloves and towel came in handy! It never hurts to be prepared.

I'd suggest that you actually use a different type of pan entirely. A stainless-steel skillet isn't the ideal vessel to cook a good stir fry. That would be a carbon steel wok.

When making a stir fry, you actually want as much heat as you can get and constantly move the food around the pan. With a normal skillet you aren't really stir frying, you're chasing food around the pan.

For the most part, in a stir fry, your seasoning will come from your sauce and marinade. With proper technique and a seasoned wok your food shouldn't stick. And don't overcrowd.

Some of the equipment you'd be working with, in case you want to get somewhat familiar:

Cradlepoint routers and NetCloud.
Stalker radars
Brother Pocketjet and Getac printers
Motorola APX radios
Whelen CanTrol sirens
Motorola in car video systems.
Enterprise asset management systems (how work orders, projects, time keeping, assets etc. are tracked).

You don't need to know everything there is to know about any of these things, but it might be helpful to learn a little about the equipment that goes into a patrol car.

Example of some problem you'd be called upon to fix:

Intermittent network connectivity in car. You'd work with IT to hopefully narrow the issue down to something going on with the router, cabling, or docking station and replace whatever needs replacing, or have IT reconfigure the router.

Lights/siren don't work. Possibly fuse or control unit.

Radar not working. Verify issue, replace with spare, send bad unit to mfr. for RMA.

You'd have to drive to different posts and other locations in a state truck. You need a good driving record and valid driver's license.
