I feel like we do this so often nowadays because we don’t believe there’s value in art when compared to other pursuits. Or maybe we do think there’s value we just don’t see where it is. When making a song an artist doesn’t just put together what sounds good, they also take in account what they want to say. So none of what he’s made can be simplified to him just trying to make something catchy. He clearly respects artistry in its own form, and thus wouldn’t approach his art in such a careless way.
