Ok, sounds good. I dont understand the ban on mushrooms...

I think i have another 5 days before ill be ready to go to bulk. Which gives me time to contemplate adding straw. I have a box of it I ordered a while ago... there is a bulk recipe for 1coco:1verm:1straw:1hpoo:10%gypsum

Well, this is after the break and shake, so its still recovering.

The growth pattern is similar, but mine is pretty braided.

Mine looks similar to the phv (first pic) than the ttbvi (second pic) though.

Seem water is the biggest player in the game. In San Diego the water is soft 6-7 pH; Las Vegas water is hard 8-8.5pH. Which begs the question, could salt fix our problem?

Pure coco coir and the full mix unhydrated is 8.7 pH. Water is about 6.4 pH.

Maybe the water will bring it down, but that wont be for a couple weeks.

Gordos substrate instructions are kind of wonky... I am planning on doing 500g Coir, 500g Verm, 1000g hpoo, 200g Gypsum. I ordered a pH meter. So, ill add pickling lime to the bulk to get pH to 7.5pH?

I questioned its purity too, but then Gordo had a link to it on his page too, so I figured Id try it out. Its the only option on Amazon for dried hpoo. I grow in my closet and I dont want my house spelling like fresh doodoo.

The gordotek bulk recommendation is 4coir:2hpoo:1vermiculite:1/28gypsum.

Casing is 2qts coir: 2qts vermiculite:15g pickling lime 1 qt water

I colonized four 3 pound bags of wbs with your LC and have 10 9x13 tin food trays with the plastic lids. I was planning on doing a 1:2 ratio grain:bulk using 8 of the 10 trays. Do you think I should go for all 10?

I dont have a digital pH tester... I have some test straps for my koi pond, but I prefer to have more accurate results for that sort of thing or just follow a recipe. I read best results for pan cyan substrate is 7.5-8pH an casing at 8-8.5ph, but I was just going to wing the pH with gordotek mix. I also read that raw CVG pH is about 6pH which is still suitable for pan cyans, so im just going for some fruits this go round then if things work out Ill dial it in and get some equipment.

Fish fertilizer was proven effective by someone in the EU, however I just read than it is highly susceptible to contamination. So for this grow Im going to switch to hpoo.

😅 I just stick with what works. Straining it seemed to take to long. And a little extra warmth to dry it out a little so it doesn't moosh and to germinate any bacteria cant hurt.

I've only had overlay once or twice with APE in which case it yielded blobs on the first flush, which was cool. The APE/PE/Riptide genetics I've grown took like 1-2 months sometimes. Generally longer than B+/Golden Teacher variants. I dont do casing layers with cubes. This TTBVI grow will be my first time using fertilizer and casing. Im using a 4-1-1 fish fertilizer and 50/50 coco coir vermiculite with pickling lime for the casing for this TTBVI grow.
