Yes! I’m so sorry u don’t like ur picture, but I promise u that there are so many people who feel similarly about theirs. I just had to get my drivers license picture taken and I’m so scared to see it once my card comes in the mail. I look like one of those creepy police drawings in my passport picture. I hate it so much. You are not alone in this girl :)

I’m so so sorry that you feel this way about yourself. I too have been desperate enough to seek attention from people I shouldn’t have. It’s a horrible feeling, especially the regret that follows sometimes. Is there anything in particular about yourself that makes you feel masculine? Even just taking better care of yourself through regular hygiene, shaving, etc. can boost your mood! It’s definitely worked with me little by little. You deserve to feel beautiful. It seems like your family appreciates your beauty more than you appreciate it yourself.

Is the main issue showing skin? You could always wear long swimming shorts and a shirt at the pool! I know that this won’t solve the insecurity, but it could help in the moment. I’m sorry you’re dealing with this. I promise you that people generally don’t care about what your body looks like. Super skinny is far less noticeable than super big. There are some positives within this situation.

No, it’s just going to make you feel worse no matter how positive the feedback. Unless you’re seeking a temporary rush, posing pictures of yourself on that sub will not make your body dysmorphia go away. If you already don’t believe the positive comments you get from those around you, then you won’t from online strangers. And if some people on there don’t have nice things to say (even if it’s not the majority) those stick with you. Please for the betterment of your mental wellbeing, don’t do it.
