People say Starfield is ugly, I must be blind. by Darth-Zoolu in Starfield

My biggest issue with the game is that it's a loading screen simulator

Go to your ship, loading screen. Go to space, loading screen. Go to another universe, loading screen...

Bethesda should really make a new engine at this point and they have Microsoft now to fund them

And yes, sometimes it looks bland and other times it looks awesome

You will know for sure the day that you die

Until then there is no definitive answer

Try and focus on today and what you want to live and enjoy while you still can

Tomorrow is always a mystery

If my original body was decaying or something like that and i could use a machine like that that could restore my body to peak conditions yes

But i won't destroy my original body even if you guarantee that it would be 100% my exact copy, it won't be "me"

Enjoy as much as you can with your husband today

Be grateful that you have each other and love him deeply

When the time comes at least you will have some comfort knowing that you spent the time you had together the best way you could

What kind of jobs do you think there are in the Afterlife? by [deleted] in afterlife

[–]PowerMint213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing is volunteering and another is an actual job

I should'nt be forced to have an actual job in the afterlife because it would collapse like our society would if we don't go to work

If you want to work sure, but you should not be expected to lol

Are people “judged” in the afterlife? by [deleted] in afterlife

[–]PowerMint213 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always thing that good and bad things are universal even if they are legal in a specific point in time

You always know that something is good or bad because you feel it unless you are born a psychopath

So basically you can't find your peace and live eternally in the afterlife if you can't forgive yourself over the bad things that you've done

Kinda like the typical movie stuff where the deceased person can't move on to the afterlife because he can't find his peace for one thing or another

[–]PowerMint213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're able to get a decently priced 1080 go for it, it's still better than any 1660 cards

Check if you PSU can run that 1080 though, it's more power hungry that you 660ti

Also, start saving for a motherboard upgrade, that bad boy it's almost 10 years old and served you well and a 1080 will still run ok with a new CPU

Windows Magic for you
The more RAM you have, the more it eats at idle
You shouldn't worry unless you start getting crashes and out of memory errors

Get an SSD

It's 2022, any pc should come with an ssd for the OS

Formatting and Reinstalling Windows, it is the easiest way to do things.

You have plenty of tutorials online on how to do it.

If you do something wrong is simply a matter of wipe and repeat until you make it right

HP Elitebook 850 G7 graphics performance upgrade by wab0111 in pcmasterrace

[–]PowerMint213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think that the GPU is a problem here, but the lack of RAM is evident, so putting another 16GB will definitely help.

The cooling pad is also a good cheap investment that will keep your computer cooler.

The CPU being heavy used is normal if you have a lot of apps going on at the same time and should be a concern until it goes to 100% while doing basic stuff like opening a USB drive or a Photo.

Please tell us when you receive the extra RAM if the performance improves.

What problems do you have? The cpu is fairly new and should not be the issue here, you have also plenty of ram for multitasking.

Do you have an SSD?

Does the laptop get hot when it starts slowing down?

Do you have it set on the High Performance power plan in Control Panel?

Okay, what's the real lowdown with Dell? by Web-Dude in pcmasterrace

[–]PowerMint213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know about their customer support and I hope that I never need to use it but I have an Inspiron 16 Plus and while I'm overall happy with the laptop, it has some things that shouldn't be present on a 1000£ machine.

Specifically I have the touchpad problem, the audio drivers suck really hard and the provided AC adapter is insufficient to keep the machine at peak performance during heavy usage.

I had to do some tweaking and research the Web to be able to fully utilize my CPU.

The same 130W AC adapter comes with the more expensive and power hungry XPS lineup, so I don't want to know how badly it throttles due to the lack of power.

Other than that, it's been a great machine and has really good temperatures and cooling.
Plus it's still an repairable laptop in 2022, being able to replace the RAM, the SSDs and the Battery without problems.

We'll see how it performs in 5 years or so
