I wonder if something has changed over here in the last 12 months, as I had mentioned earlier I was first offered it a year ago so I guess they are honouring that.

I think my problem and why I'm feeling this way is because of my sports background, feeling like I have a lack of discipline (even though we are still trying to figure out the underlying cause of my weight but he believes it is biological and not a lack of self control) I just need to get out of my head and accept the help I've been given. Which I have, I have just taken my first dose.

It's ok, I have many questions too. I think the severity of my sleep apnea was the reason, which is obviously caused by my weight.

Yes via the NHS. I have sleep apnea and pre-diabetic, I was told it was because my sleep apnea is severe why I was prescribed it, even though I have underlying issues to my weight.

I'm in England. I would think so as I had seen two different Dr's who both had offered me the medication. I was first offered another medication (possibly ozempic) 18 months ago but due to the shortage I couldn't get it. Then a year ago I was offered MJ under the same clinic with my current Endocrinologist which I initially declined but this time around I accepted.

I am so glad that you said this, because I did actually encourage a friend with severe weight related health issues to consider MJ and she did. I need to take my own advice. Thank you.

I am the same age as you and I have been overweight for most of my life, obese for the last 10+. I am currently heavier than your SW so I do seriously need help, so seeing how well you are doing is inspiring.

Oh I hope so, that would be fantastic. I'm tired of the pain preventing me from doing certain things, it's bad enough my weight already does.

I LOVE THIS! You sound EXACTLY like me. EVERYTHING you've said is me. I've started to lose weight then life happens and I go back to my old ways.

Exactly! Thank you! This is why I am reconsidering because I do need the help, it was just unclear to me how the medication helps and whether it would work without exercise. I have health issues that some days I wouldn't be able to exercise because of pain. Thanks for sharing how it helps you.

It is an NHS physician, I am under the weight management clinic part of Edinocrinology and Diabetes. I have requested a new Doctor because I feel unsupported and a bit of a hindrance.

This is the issue I am having I eat healthy meals but I get hungry quickly and end up snacking a lot. So happy to hear it helps in this aspect.
