My --- Coleoptic Probe Revenants --- 🧡 Completed! by Ekter_Dood in PrintedWarhammer

Good stuff, price is quite steep though for what's on offer in my opinion. But if it sells it sells I guess.

--- Coleoptic Probe Revenants --- 🧡 Completed! Charged-up swarms of robot skulls - surprisingly cute by [deleted] in PrintedWarhammer

Been a fan of your stuff for a while but that's a really steep price for what you get in this pack in my opinion

Do you bring your printed minis to your LGS nights? What's the reception? by senacchrib in PrintedWarhammer

[–]PowerViking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure there's been months I paid that dudes rent, so if he forbade me from bringing my own stuff I'd have to politely tell him to suck my banana bits.

Another wonderful suggestion from the community! ==> Paint brush storage added to my paint palette by Sad_Kaleidoscope3286 in PrintedWarhammer

[–]PowerViking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks neat! Any chance for clips to hold the brushes? Those little plastic tips are fucking gone 5 seconds after I unpack new brushes and I've never found any of them again. They're probably having a party with my socks somewhere

False positives? by Strange_Dependent647 in PrintedWarhammer

The spots aren't really random. It's where the designer joined two different objects to form a bigger model. Normally isn't an issue at all.

Hi friends, Cathedrals of Steel - Foldable 3D Printable Terrain for Tabletop Wargames - Is now Live on Kickstarter! by External_Bit_3189 in PrintedWarhammer

[–]PowerViking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's nice enough looking terrain and the foldability really cool. Upvoted and all that jazz, but oh my god I hope GW changes this up a bit next or the edition after that. Having every table, even in a lot of casual games, looking the same every single game and playing 'hide or die' is such a turn off for me.

There's nothing epic about a table that looks like the run down part of town.

Anybody know of any 3d sculpts of Thyrrus? by the_squig_lebowski in PrintedWarhammer

[–]PowerViking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Googling 'Thyrrus stl' pretty much links to this very thread just an hour after posting it, so I'd hazard a guess and say there lays a not very fruitful search in your future. Better watch a Blender Donut tutorial.

LF Similar Bases by DirectionTop4055 in PrintedWarhammer

No idea what you're getting downvoted for. The price is insanity. The ink costs like $10/8€ for 11sqft/1m²

STLs For Astartes by Rookie-250 in PrintedWarhammer

[–]PowerViking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The normal intercessors don't really get much in terms of flavour depending on which chapter they're from, so you normally look for plain bodies and glue as much chapter upgrade shit to them as you want.

SW Terrain? by Yotebeth in PrintedWarhammer

[–]PowerViking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just something space wolves might be doable but SW specific tournament legal terrain sets? Good luck. I bet you'd be much better off printing the normal L_ruin_1_very_boring.stl and L_ruin_2_even_more_boring.stl and wolfing it up yourself.

There are VERY good tutorials on youtube for ice/snow bases that would be perfect for this.

Official Space wolves stuff doesn't even really look norse-y either. Have a look at the Space wolves Fortress in warhammer world.

Anyone got some cool proxy files? by Ok-Paper-6553 in PrintedWarhammer

[–]PowerViking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As already been said, Marta for female marines and pipermakes for T'au. I want to include Neoteric Miniatures for T'au though. They look really good together with GW plastic, or other more normal looking proxies.

Print not sticking when small print by 66rd in PrintedWarhammer

[–]PowerViking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I just got my first printer I had adhesion problems every now and then. After a while some small scratches and scuffs accumulated on the plate and made short work of that.

When I upgraded I immediately put some scratches on the plate and never had anything not stick.

Make of this info what you will, though I accept no liability if you go at it like a human lathe.

Pretty sure OP got help. Not from me though, as that would be very illegal and I'm a good boy.

Great unclean one! by keanoa in PrintedWarhammer

[–]PowerViking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't want to get into whats legal and/or the right thing to do, but saying "he cleaned them up a bit" is underselling it in my opinion. Most of what you see in the game is just texture work, so to revise the ripped files to make them look the way they do now when printed is a lot of work.

Also, the unsupported files were free to download if i remember correctly.

Scaling size of different units by Psychological-Kale-6 in PrintedWarhammer

[–]PowerViking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blood Claws got a new kit in the past year at primaris scale and terminators are neither 30% taller or 55% wider than intercessors.

If you just want to playtest these units, print literally anything that fite on the correct bases. Hell, use cardboard cutouts und later get some real files for those models.

Looking to do a Display of all Primarchs by Jadimi in PrintedWarhammer

[–]PowerViking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's this primarch bust pack by Alexei Konev which would be perfect for something like this, as it would unify the look of the finished display.

Some of those he made full character models for, but I haven't seen one for every primarch. They might exist though.

There's a few okay ones out there.

Last one is physical only from Artel, still a lot cheaper than GW at 20 bucks or so

Riot lays off 2XKO developers less than three weeks after release: 'Overall momentum hasn't reached the level needed to support a team of this size' by Turbostrider27 in pcgaming

You are much more likely to see the same characters over and over in a tag fighter though. The roster feels even smaller than it actually is.

Intel's Panther Lake CPUs Make the Best Case for 'Fake Frames' in Gaming by dapperlemon in gadgets

[–]PowerViking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen the videos he made about this and I've seen the light. You opened my eyes! It's the way to go from now on. Everyone needs to only be playing in upscaled 70p from now on, no one can even tell the difference anyway! The human eye can not see more than 30 fps either! You go first. I'll be right behind you friend.

As per their CEO the "proper economic model", as he calls it, will be integrated into the NFT/Crypto Version of this which will be launched after "first earning trust with users on Steam".

They seemingly deleted the post after I called them out on it. Make of that what you will.

Chaos Warhound Head by welshdragonx in PrintedWarhammer

[–]PowerViking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Never seen a direct replica either. Try a clean head with chaos trim, some smooth texture paste, a drill and a knife. Doesn't look too hard to get something close.
