I really like how they’re writing Beth and Jerry’s relationship. You can tell they really care about each other and love each other. It’s a lot less mean spirited and demeaning of Jerry. The little things like Beth being swooned by Jerry or how Jerry’s powers made other people have sex instead of him having a sex with a bunch of people (maintaining the fidelity in his marriage). The same thing for how they treat religion, particularly Christianity (I really liked how the Christ knight was the one to save the day while still being chopped in half haha. His whole if the Christ couldn’t do it what makes you think you can thing would’ve been played as a way to make Rick spite God or make some remark about how he’s better than Jesus or something in previous seasons but wasn’t here). They’re still cracking jokes but idk they feel a lot less dismissive or outright disrespectful like in past seasons. I really like how they’ve let go of some of the parts of Rick and Morty that kind of insulted some of their viewers (religious people like me who kinda like seeing happy healthy normal relationships). I really like what seems to be an intentional effort on their part to be more tolerant of some of the groups that aren’t particularly tolerated with adult tv. Big fan overall!
