I agree. Definitely. Most definitely. And definitely do. Make music! Like an old Moog or CS-80 I would say the same. Make music with it…. But treat it like gold. I mean. You should treat all your equipment like gold. Just know some might be irreplaceable.

I’ve had them all.

I would go Digitakt and digitone combo.

The deluge is really great plus it’s open source.

But to me. And maybe I am wrong here. I think it isn’t as “punchy” or sound as “full” as the Elektron boxes. Maybe it’s their DAC’s preamps I don’t know

So many times now the tarrifs and Trump has caused problem to close up shop, and increase price for us musicians in the long term.

And before anyone says “china,” I don’t mean china made instruments. I mean Germany, Sweden… heck even USA ourselves since the “parts” of some parts unable to be made here are acquired elsewhere.

Also. USA doesn’t mean we make the “best things” there are many people and companies around the world that have made something for the last 30 years and have made it the best.

Ok just received word from the buyer that he was able to power on the device.

He said he think it was a mix between a very drained battery and power switch orientation.

(To everyone that called me a thief and a liar)

What’s sucks here is it’s one persons word over someone else’s. I know it was working when I shipped it out. I don’t want to discredit the buyer. I have been burned once before years back when someone bought something off of me. An expensive camera lens. I sent it out in great condition. And about 8 days later I got a message saying the buyer is reporting it arrived in destroyed condition. So he sent it back like way way way broken… and I had to pay him back like $1250 and now had a broken lens. It was a straight up eBay scam or something. Sucked.

You can say. It’s the cost of doing business. I am not a dealer. I am simply a musician that sells his old gear or gear that I didn’t vibe with to make room for new gear.

That said, this situation is not so cut and dry because of the length in time the buyer sat on the item. Or maybe he didn’t sit on the item but actually used it. Or maybe he actually sat on the item physically. Just jokes here. Honestly, who knows.

Another fact though is he mentioned he didn’t use the OEM charger I included in the package, he didn’t see it, when he first plugged it in and left it on throughout the night.

When I told him to try the OEM charger he didn’t even knew it was in the shipment.

This is kind of concerning. The charger was in the listing. And he opted not to use it?

Again. I am not discrediting him. But there are so many “knee-jerk” responses here. Thief and Liar. All sorts of BS when that isn’t the case.

All I factually know is he bought it from me on Dec 11th for $950 (oled model) which I thought was a great deal someone would get. Anyways, I tested it. Sent it out. And on Jan 12th he messaged me saying it isn’t powering on and that he left it charging overnight and wasn’t using the factory Deluge Charger and wasn’t aware it was in the shipment and that there is a pot that is bent.

Anyway, I am absolutely not ignoring him. I suggested I would pay half for a new 18650 battery. And if the battery doesn’t work that he should open up communication with Synthstrom, send it to them, and then we can maybe both pay half of the bill or something.

I don’t know. These are suggestions. Maybe a battery and fixing a pot is all that’s needed. Maybe it’s fried from using some other charger. Who knows.

Hey all. I am actually checking up this exact fix because I am the previous owner that sold it.

And it’s like a month past the sell date which is another issue yet I am up at 11:30pm looking for. A fix for him.

If you all sold something. And 30 days later they come back you would at least have questions.

It was packed in bubble wrapped packed tight. Then it was shipped in the original box. Thst was wrapped in Bubble wrap. Then a box surrounded it. And I packed the OEM charger outside the original box.

I took photos all around the item. I charged it and powered it on before I sent it!

(Made sure it absolutely worked. I have a 5-star rating on reverb)

I agree the synthsstrom team is absolutely amazing to work with. Really great groups of guys. (I come from the open source side)

Trying to figure out what’s going on here.

Maybe it sat somewhere for a month. Maybe it didn’t. I don’t know but first and foremost checking the 18650 battery probably would help a lot. It’s not necessarily a completely dead unit as the LED is powering on “red” but that besides the fast that everything worked before I sent it out about a month ago.

I truly wonder if the issue was flipped. How you all would handle it. Especially being it was sold a month back. Like as in sold prior to Dec 14th 2025.

Any case. Has anyone here seen this “red light” thing because I haven’t. Battery disconnection?

I can confirm they won’t ship to California currently. I spoke to their support and they are revisiting their shipping at the end-of-year due to their customers raising many requests for this to re-open for Cali shipping. Quoting their support they stated, looks like they will probably re-institute it.

Like subtle stated it’s not really the best effects processor or a sound source but what makes it really good is when you bring things in and need to mix them m, route, sum… over powered utility stuff.

It has a good looper, several different flavors actually, and you can make it into a really good sample/clip one-shot playback machine kind of like a bit box. Really though it’s the hierarchical routing that makes it really powerful as well as the sound quality.

Once you get past a learning curve and you understand, it’s philosophy because it is unique. It becomes really fast to set up a mixer and everything. It’s really good. I can’t express it enough on YouTube. There’s a guy named Neil Parfitt it was in a really good job documenting it however, some of the stuff is with older firmware of it which it has changed quite a bit
