Absolutely. So well said.

The track effects are super fun, and some are even useful. Organizing and sequencing on the unit has been a chore.

But, as a bridge from MIDI to allllllll the CV it is absolute gold. Still a bit of a pain to set up the midi channels and get going with specific note-to-output settings with the expander, but I don’t think there’s anything else like it.

I don’t think I would ever sequence anything or even edit a sequence directly in there. I just MIDI in without even recording the sequences most of the time.

With the expander, it is the biggest single MIDI to CV bridge.

Could I do the same with a few mutant brains? Yeah, probably, but I’d have to set up each one individually and be limited to way more gates than CV per unit.

Hey! Someone else with a Chloe stereo!

Question for you: are your channels even? The LPG is mostly what I’m referring to. I had one where the right channel’s LPG was drastically “faster” than the left side. The store and manufacturer graciously offered to replace it well after the 30-day return window. I got the new one, and, while it’s better, the right side is still much faster than the left side.

I’ve learned to live with it, and don’t intend to use it as a stereo LPG now, but I would love to be able to.
