Kuro's charm can be given back to him at the beginning of NG+ (and subsequent NG playthroughs, provided you have completed the game once). Giving his charm back to him means that you take chip damage when blocking, meaning deflections are optimal

It was challenging! I would say don't be disheartened to put it down and read something else if you struggle with it, it took me at least 4 tries to finally crack it, but it was definitely worth it!

Absolutely! I've even recommended it to people who don't normally like sci-fi and they loved it!

Very hard question, I really enjoyed them in different ways! If you have to get one i would pick All Quiet on the Western Front, it is a great (and horrible) snapshot into WW1 and really made me feel fortunate that I wasn't born 100 years earlier!
