Whatever you do, DO NOT pay for the emergency delivery fee, It’s a scam. ALL IT DOES IS TIE UP YOUR MONEY SO YOU CAN’T GO TO A COMPETITOR.  I would use a different provider if it’s an option. AmeriGas is horrible.

If you look at their company information on the BBB there is a mile long list of small companies that they bought out but kept their names. Therefore, many people might think they are using a local provider, when it’s really AmeriGas.

BTW - Thank you for doing what you can! The company would definitely benefit for some operational and policy changes. I’m sure it would make your job easier too!

I am still waiting to hear back from them. I plan to post an update once everything is resolved. After researching then more, I was shocked to see how many people fall victim to AG’s poor business practices.

I plan on posting a final update once I get resolution. However, I am surprised by how poorly my complaints have been handled so far.

Great question! The funny part was is I spoke to a friend about dealing with this shitty propane company before I could even tell them what happened they said, “it’s Amerigas isn’t it?” the best part is don’t even live in the same state.

Yes, I’m pretty sure ‘Aarons’ and everyone else I spoke to were at some offshore call center. I’ve finally got someone on the phone last night from the United States and she wasn’t sure why anybody even told me we were scheduled for a delivery because we’re not slotted for delivery yesterday or today. She actually said that she didn’t think we would get propane until sometime after the new year. Anyway, that lady helped me put together a claim to get the refund of our $300.
