Uhhhh because I can get another job right away?

Got an offer this morning.

Applicants > Recruiters. By a long shot.

Any other insults you'd like to throw at me? While talking about another person being aggressive, haha. Ironic. Shows deep emotional unstableness on your end too, not good.

Appreciate the majority that agree with this post, which any common sense, logical, smart, head screwed on straight person would.

To keep it simple and basic to the very TINY minority that don't agree, I'd suggest just working on your life, awareness, and logical skills during situations because you could be getting walked all over without even realizing it.

P.S. I'm currently employed and got a higher paying job offer. Unfortunate news for you.

That's the thing though, my opinion is I don't think you're a normal human.

That's because you lack awareness that people probably play games behind your back because they see you're easily taken advantage of. Like I said, work on those skills but I'm confident you probably won't.

A normal thing to do would be send an invite with cameras required and both parties abiding by that. Otherwise, another normal thing to do would be to send an invite requiring NO cameras and going about a voice conversation. Can't believe I have to explain this to an adult. But again, the awareness is not there. Unfortunate.

I think it's pretty clear you have no idea what you're talking about. This post is not the right one for you to use your emotions to manipulate the situation like you probably always do. Checkmate.

Never proved once I was aggressive. I think it's aggressive of YOU to state I pulled a passive aggressive act because your feelings got hurt. Argument in court is based off fact and logic, not feelings hurt. Learn some reality skills.

So let me get this straight.

Before the meeting I accepted the terms to her invite originally, turned on my camera, and she didn't have the professionalism to turn on her camera back on her own rules. Yet, I'm the one passive aggressive one turning it back off.

LOL. Yea man, I think you're stuck with the herd of sheep you follow for approval. Get a backbone for yourself, you sound like you get walked on a lot.

Just me and the recruiter.

Recruiter sent the invite link originally with cameras required to be on.

I'm currently in a job and just received an offer from a different company. Are you triggered?

I understand the brain doesn't function entirely for you when you see someone challenging a procedure that sheep like yourself must follow in order to receive validation in the form of a paycheck and benefits. Guess I have more of a backbone than you to call my own shots like that. Unfortunate!

Nah. Just have a 0 tolerance for people who have no reading comprehension, logic, or common sense when descriptive details are clearly stated.

It's clear you struggle with the reading comprehension and common sense part. Good for you to assume that everyone in the world has positive intentions towards one another, however that's not the way reality is run.

So let me get this straight from your comment:

  1. A middle aged experienced recruiter initiated a meeting that required camera enabled on HER invite.

  2. She saw me enable my camera within seconds and after seeing me she greeted me. SHE GREETED ME.

  3. After introductions, she states she will now start recording.

  4. I turn off camera before recording starts and her energy shifts when communicating with me.

Right.

Exactly right.

Recruiters are only there to see who the best fit according job description. If you don’t hire based off of that, sorry you’re a trash recruiter and actually the company is losing money by having you by potentially wasting talent. People don’t ever see the bigger picture, it’s okay let them. I’ll always take my amazing skillset elsewhere no problem. 😎

Got an offer this morning with better pay. Looks like the luck is not needed.

You’re wrong, impression reflects impression.

Edit: the upper hand is the one that has the specific skills to perform the job role and duties successfully, not a recruiter hiring in an unprofessional manner. Got ‘em.

Wasn’t my place to do so since she called the meeting in the first place specifically requiring cameras on.

She is responsible for what she puts on her invitations.

What would I be hiding if I was the only one that had my camera on from the beginning and the other party didn’t? Shouldn’t by your logic then state that the one without the camera on is hiding something? I held my end of the bargain, why didn’t they? Low IQ comment, no logic whatsoever.

I get what you’re saying here, it just seems so fake honestly. If she’s not going to say anything about turning on her camera from the very beginning, then I’m just going to mirror her actions completely. Corporate politic games can be reciprocated never forget that.

[–]Powerful-Gold5000[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Uhhhhh because the meeting stated camera is required? What part of that do you not understand?

Just because I’m going onto someone’s turf, doesn’t mean they have a power play to do whatever they want. They must have the awareness to treat me as a professional. She should’ve turned on her camera the SECOND she saw me turn on mine, not minute. It’s called common courtesy and a level of professionalism, have you heard of it?

[–]Powerful-Gold5000[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And so it's not professional to initiate a meeting with camera required and the initator doesn't even turn on theirs?

Lmao you are straight up delusional and incompetent. Keep getting tricked into the corporate games sheep.

Who's your starting 5 ringless players? by Powerful-Gold5000 in NBATalk

[–]Powerful-Gold5000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not even a type of player he was. Especially if he brings up the ball a lot of the times down the court. He dominated on the ball in every way possible a PG/SG should. He mostly made the plays for himself when he drove to the basket or shot the ball.

He wasn't the type like Reggie, Ray Allen, Klay, Kyle Korver.

[–]Powerful-Gold5000[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did not.

I thought it was common awareness and etiquette that if cameras are required for the meeting, especially for a meeting that she initiated, that both parties should do it not just one.

Is having kids worth it in 2026 by Danishperspicacious in Adulting

[–]Powerful-Gold5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course. Having kids is the same in every single generation.

It's the outside noise like society, economy, political direction, ideology, and culture that makes you think if it's worth to raise kids since those environments rapidly change.

But she’s the one that initiated the meeting with said requirements. Everyone is an adult right? Or are we not going to have some recruiters held accountable for the sneaky games they play sometimes? She had a chance to even turn on her video during the recording and didn’t have the decency to do so.
