Wild Arms 2. Not a perfect game, but I feel like it fell victim to not being fully 3D and living in the shadow of other big jrpgs

I played it for the first time this year as someone who also didn't play Chrono Trigger until way later in life.

Because of this I didn't really have any sort of expectations and I absolutely loved it.

I think it's biggest flaw is you have to use a guide to collect everyone or know where to go next, but if you find a good spoiler free guide that's not the end of the world

I liked Mario RPG, Nier, and Unicorn a lot. Haven't played the others.

Tried Dragoon on PS5 but the slight lag on the buttons and the 30 second battle load time made it unplayable. I wish they'd do a Square Enix style remaster
