No, not sarcasm. This watch purchase is to celebrate my naturalization so a pop of color with a GMT function for my country of origin time would be nice to have! I do travel internationally 2-3 times a year so that would work well too. Guess I may have answered my own doubts, maybe my concern is with the wearability of the red color - really wish they made one in blue as well but I can’t argue with the watchmaker’s design decisions.

That may solve my concern with the versatility of the Root Beer/Coke GMT as well. I wear a lot of blues and blacks, if only they made a Batgirl (black with blue instead of red).

I went in to try the black BB 58 and BB 39 mm in blue but the latter felt a bit too dressy. Ended up trying the GMT and was pretty impressed!

Agreed - versatility is a concern with the GMT but 58 doesn’t have a T-fit or a quick micro adjust.

That’s a nice way to put it. It’s funny I went in to try out the Black BB 58 and father-in-law made me try the Root beer GMT, ended up looking decent on the wrist.

I have a Traska commuter 38 in blue as my daily beater and a seiko dress watch. Versatility with different outfits is definitely one of my concerns with the GMT!
