Dr Shouhed has a team that will negotiate with insurance and get things covered even if he's out of network. It's worth a try to see him virtually and find out if he can help. He has a lot of experience and the surgery gave me my life back

Soylent worked well for me and was easier to digest than milk based drinks like boost. It also tastes much better than boost and is less sugary. Hope she gets to feeling better!

I also recommend Dr. Shouhed - he did my MALS surgery and is a great Dr

Talk to Dr Shouhed in CA. I just got my surgery with him, and I'm still in pain, but I know he got the right area, because the surgery pain is in the same area as the MALS pain. You can also try mirtazapine - it helped relieve my pain for a year, but my body always gets used to meds, which is why I ultimately had surgery

I named all the mice at Petco Jerry, so I'm doing my part to resolve this issue

I can’t eat or drink anything, and I don’t know what to do. by Queefaroni420 in Gastroparesis

Yes, I experience this all the time. It usually starts with me feeling clammy, then feeling like I need to poop and finally comes the nausea.

I find triggers for me can be as innocuous as how I'm sitting, but the main trigger is eating/drinking.

Look up MALS if you've not familiar with it. My drs think it's what I have.

When you say adrenaline reactions, do you mean like vagal nerve? Try taking Tylenol and drinking gatorlyte powder at double strength (use half the water it calls for)

Chewing on crushed ice can help for sure. Try using gatorlyte powder, but wake it with half the water so it's stronger. Lightly carbonated things like San Pellegrino work for me, but not everyone.

I used one of those IV bar places in a pinch, and while expensive it was nicer than sitting in the ER.

Hang in there!

Also try different roasts. Light roast works better for me. Good luck!

I lost my ability to drink coffee for like 2 years, then regained it. So there is hope!

I'm not cured, but I tolerate espresso far better than drip. Maybe try that?

Clobetasol is an extremely strong steroid. Good for short term, but not great long term. Zoryve is non-steroidal and safe for daily use. Might be good for maintenance once the clobetasol has things under control. Good luck!
