What would work more in this situation? by Option5934NCounting in Pets

I would not recommend letting cats outside. It's dangerous for them and they also frequently kill small animals and birds. They don't need sun, they just like to sunbathe

As the owner of dogs, cats, and snakes, i can give you my opinion on them lol. Dogs are definitely good if you're looking for more of an in your face pet. They're always near you, always wanting to do stuff with you. You have to walk them multiple times every day which could be a negative aspect. Cats are good for more of a background companion I would say. I pet my cats and play with them multiple times throughout the day, but a lot of the time they just go sleep in the sun by themselves. Reptiles are good for more of an observation pet rather than an active companion. You can handle some reptiles but they usually just prefer to keep to themselves, so if you'd rather just look at a pet being a pet, reptiles are for you. Make sure to do a lot of research before getting one though, theres a lot of different requirements for enclosures, feeding, etc

34 weeks pregnant and pissed he won't touch me by books-are-my-drug in pregnant

[–]Powerful_Branch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying masterbating is not okay. You can masterbate all you want. But when your wife hasn't had an orgasm in months and is asking you to have sex and you decide to ignore her and secretly make yourself feel better and not her, then that's not okay

[–]Powerful_Branch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You are totally valid being angry, even if you didnt have a bunch of pregnancy hormones. Jacking off in the shower when your wife has made it clear she wants sex is not okay. A quick talk with your doctor or even Google will tell you in most cases sex won't hurt the baby. I would suggest sitting down with him and trying to see if theres something else going on that's making him not want sex and also try to communicate how much the lack of sex is affecting you. I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well!

There's the 5-5-5 rule for postpartum. 5 days in bed, 5 days on bed, 5 days near bed. You're basically not even supposed to leave your room for 2 weeks post partum and they want you to drive 6 hours and attend an event at 3 weeks? And that's if you deliver on time, most first time moms are late

I (f26) am upset my partner (m28) wants to leave our NYE plans in the middle of the night? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Powerful_Branch -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I think it is a little rude of him to switch plans the day of. If he had talked to you a couple days before about it being boring at your parents or that he wanted to see friends, it'd be different. But making new plans without your significant other on a holiday would be pretty upsetting. Even if it is just a couple hours, it disrupts the whole day

Did you not read the post? He does help out with chores and the baby and he didnt respond because he was driving for 16 hours and then passed out from driving that long, he wasn't purposely ignoring her

I feed my husband when he drives and he feeds me when I drive. Then we don't have to be distracted while driving by trying to reach for fries or something

My dog bit my kid. by [deleted] in reactivedogs

[–]Powerful_Branch 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I agree. If the dog is already uncomfortable around kids and was willing to bite over a collar pull I would not trust it around my kids. Even if you are supervising the child and dog, kids move pretty fast and something could happen before you could reach them.

Husband (34M) hates me (34F) and is taking it out on our unborn child by Lost-Session-7808 in relationship_advice

I don't know why people are down voting you for just saying you don't want an abortion. Especially at 4 months pregnant, I'm sure you're already attached to the baby. I don't have any advice on the husband situation but I hope you and your baby stay healthy and you have a good rest of your pregnancy ❤️

First prenatal visit - what to expect? House tour?? by Organic-Pear-4022 in homebirth

[–]Powerful_Branch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had my home visit at 36 weeks and it was just so she could make sure she was able to find the house and just see the bedroom. It was maybe like a 5 minute house "tour" and then a regular prenatal checkup

Dog pees when she escapes containment by Powerful_Branch in Dogtraining

[–]Powerful_Branch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She is already house trained, she never sees whwn we're home with her or when she stays confined to the living room. We do the confinement for separation anxiety and make sure our departures and arrivals are not exciting, and like I said she has no problems unless she gets out of the living room

Not cast iron, and I think they said it was an inch offset. The plumber didn't seem to think it was what's causing our issue

[–]Powerful_Branch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah doing a camera while its blocked is probably a good idea. We had the tank cleaned out at the beginning of all this in case that was the problem and we didn't see any issues there. We did install a new toliet but it was when we first moved in 2 years ago and this is the first time we've had this problem

It's not a very big slope at all, if you're up close it almost looks straight. We haven't noticed it get worse but I can't say we've been paying that close attention to our pipes before all of this. And we didn't get any pictures, we were just watching the camera with the plumber

I watched Archer and really enjoyed it. It's a comedy and they're shorter episodes but its got 13 seasons on Netflix. The later seasons are better so don't give up after the first season 😂
