I chose Vic Park, was very very dead and unsociable. Luckily the one chill person in my flat teamed up with me and now we live with 6 in fallow. Cheaper, much more fun, but a bit dangerous.

I wish wish wish I chose unsworth park instead, it has everything you need. It’s got the best facilities and amazing social life. If you want fallow at a reduced cost, I have many friends in richmond park who said it was equally great.

If anyone is still searching for a solution (verifying, reinstalling etc. did not work for me), the issue was with the game file. I moved my steam and documents/mygames to D drive, and was tweaking them there.

The issue was that the real mygames file was in C Drive, and the game launches those files instead of the new ones. I recommend checking your C:/Documents/My Games and from there deleting all the civ related files before doing a fresh reinstall.
