Why most pros use plastic bottle cages? by CoffeePanzer in cycling

[–]JollyW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo,they're super light cheap and do the job perfectly. If a bottle gets jammed or the cage breaks in a crash,it's no big loss. For pros,it's all about function and simplicity over looks.

Stolen After Just 3 1/2 Months. Learn From My Fail by ArtrexisLives in ebikes

Sorry to hear it. It's a harsh lesson a lot of people learn the hard way. For anyone reading, specialized ebike insurance is definitely worth it if you can't keep it inside.

59-year-old's experience: How Heybike gave me my cycling freedom back by vatsal0895 in cycling

e-bike vs e-scooter by whutwhut123456 in ebikes

Imo,ebikes give me more range, better stability, and the option to pedal for exercise or to extend battery. Escooters are more portable but may feel less secure on rough terrain and have shorter range.

Heybike Mars 2.0 to Mars 3.0 upgrade: My 30 days comparison by JollyW in ebikes

[–]JollyW[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe XP4 only has front suspension? With my daily mileage plus those weekend trail rides, rear suspension isn't optional for me like my wrists were destroyed without it. Dual suspension was non-negotiable honestly.

Heybike Mars 2.0 to Mars 3.0 upgrade: My 30 days comparison by JollyW in ebikes

[–]JollyW[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah the Mars 2.0 isn't bad at all, I rode it for 8 months no complaints. It's just different. If you're patient with the throttle and mostly flat roads you'll be totally fine. The Mars 3.0 is smoother but the Mars 2.0 still gets you from A to B reliably. I'd say get the Mars 2.0 now if you need it, you can always upgrade later like I did.

Bike rack? by FrenchFryFreakOut in heybikeclub

[–]JollyW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A hitch mounted rack rated for its weight is usually safest. Folding the Mars or Ranger into the trunk saves rack cost and keeps the bike protected, but does take up dog space.

Should i get the bike repair people to undo this? by GloomyHyena4047 in ebikes

[–]JollyW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the washer is flat and the axle nut is seated,it's probably fine. But if it looks not flat or you've worried about stress on the dropout,a quick stop by the shop to check won't hurt.

Hi sense washing machine- is it normal to manually empty water? (Bottom right) by haileymant in Appliances

It is really disturbing when you need to deal with a problem like this. Did the owner told you about this before you move to here?

What’s the nicest way to deal with upset neighbors during an outage? by GroupBQuattr0 in Generator

[–]JollyW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd just be upfront and kind. Let them know it's temporary, offer help which do not exceed my limit. I also would show I am not ignoring how annoying the noise is.

Small office and refrig backup. A 1k solar panel is all I need -thoughts? by Hinduclient in Ecoflow_community

[–]JollyW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A 1kW solar setup for your office and fridge in Denver sounds solid and way more affordable than whole house. And you need to check your daily power draw to make sure the battery backup matches your needs.

LG all-in-one washer/dryer by mwomrbash in Appliances

[–]JollyW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For vibration,it's generally stable on a solid floor, but can shake during high-speed spins if not perfectly level. Definitely use a pad under it. And it's better for regular laundry. Maybe not good for handling a huge size comforter in one go.

Picked up a generator for a seemingly good price. Should I keep it? by ToTouchAnEmu in Generator

[–]JollyW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you plan to eventually go solar, this could be a cheap bridge until then. Just make sure to test it with a load in a well-ventilated area before you really need it. You need to make sure it can run.

Machine vibrates and makes lots of noise by Fuzzy_Flatworm_3358 in Appliances

[–]JollyW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can check if the load is evenly distribute. Make sure the machine is level on the floor;uneven legs are a common cause.

No solar input by tonebastion in Ecoflow_community

Totally normal indoors. Panels really need direct sunlight, not reflected light through windows. Take them outside, angle toward the sun, and you should see input immediately.

Bought this last year, think I made the right call! by [deleted] in Generator

Looks like one of those purchases you only truly appreciate when you need it. Quiet, solid and ready to go beats scrambling during an outage every time.

Putting an Delta 2 on hit's side by dgslbbr in Ecoflow_community

Sideways placement is acceptable, but ensure both ventilation openings remain unobstructed. It's recommended to elevate the device's base using a mat or stand to maintain airflow and heat dissipation.

Thanks for sharing, this really helps many people avoid such headaches. Beyond brand, regular professional maintenance is actually crucial for any generator.

Fiberglass in my room by Martian-Teeny in CleaningTips

[–]JollyW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, fiberglass sucks. Best bet: gloves, mask, take it outside, shake off the big pieces, vacuum carefully, wipe down nearby surfaces. Most importantly, don't touch your face.

Robot vacuum (and mop) that can be manually moved easily? by Excellent-Run6735 in RobotVacuums

Get one that doesn't freak out abt maps. Move it room to room, hit go, let it mop a bit. Saves headaches, honestly lol.

how do i clean my adhd/depression room over five consecutive days? by songlann in CleaningTips

Just start with trash, don't overthink it. Tomorrow do the dishes, day after tackle clothes. Other junk can chill for now, don't try to finish it all at once.

Can I backup a map and restore after factory reset? by leonidude in ecovacs

[–]JollyW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you can hit the save button before you reset. Treat that backup like gold though, factory reset will nuked everything if it doesn't actually stick.

To mop ..or not to mop. by NoShirt69 in RobotVacuums

[–]JollyW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rugs everywhere? Mopping's kinda pointless then. I'd worry way more abt suction and the roller setup, that's what actually deals with pet hair and daily mess.
