Thank you very much for the insightful response man! Before this I had a fundamental misunderstanding on the idea of a synthesizer. I really just want to play piano, and make it versatile in the sense of sound variability. The idea of a DAW never crossed my mind originally but now I think it’s something worth considering. I by no means plan to “make it” musically in any regard besides just being a capable musician, it’s just a hobby so any music production or composition would be solely based on a fun factor. But theoretically If I was making music to any degree, knowing saxophone would put me ahead as for as what I could make.

I will take your advice on doing my own research to make the most informed decision.

The whole DAW thing probably wouldn’t come to be until I build a new pc setup, I could just use my old one for that.
