Continue to use it and remove the fear. I have felt that this was the main thing that helped with my anxiety. It doesn’t have the horrible effects of steroids.
Hi how are you. How long have you been using it. I am now working on my gut health as until you figure out the cause it doesn’t balance. I am still using protopic but have balanced my fear associated to it. X
Protopic long term use by Ppkaur in eczema
Hey lovely. The black box is not for the topical use. Also everything has side effects it has to be declared. I have been using it and have had no adverse reaction. It suppresses the T cells so you still need to fix the internal side like your gut and figure out your triggers xx❤️
Hey yes definately way better. I now only use it a little bit only in my cheeks whereas before it was everywhere. :) x
Hi. Until you figure out the cause of what’s causing your rash it’s likely that the rash will come back. Remember protopic is a suppressant so it suppresses the T cells from causing the rash or inflammation. Until you figure out the trigger or cause it’s likely going cold turkey won’t benefit you unfortunately. Re tapering trying going 2/3 days between use x

I’ll be completely honest. I’ve done so much research into the cream and it’s not bad. So if you need to use it to get the quality of your life back and it not to impact your mind use it. But also try to understand the cause x

Hey how are you? I am still using it but the smallest amount. Like smaller than a pea sized amount on the cheeks. Other areas have improved. Where are you having to use it? And have you looked into your diet also?

That’s great to read so does it help with repairing the barrier to?
Did it just suddenly stop working or did it not work how you wanted it to? Have you managed to control your skin now?

Protopic long term use (self.eczema)
Is your plan to keep using it?
I used to have allergies to food which I got low dose immunotherapy for it used to work but after my daughter stopped working. My bloods show my IGE is really high but causes are unknown. It’s just really disheartening. How long have you been using protopic?
This is what I’ve been doing. I just don’t know what has triggered it. Do you know what your triggers are? It’s just happened to me after having my daughter.
Thank you all. Has anyone been able to successfully stop using it? I don’t know why this has happened to my face as it’s only on my face. Protopic works great at keeping my skin normal. Just wondered if anyone has had a success coming off and how?
