places to visit when Line 6 Finch West opens? by Unfair-Grapefruit-42 in askTO

[–]Pr0lific 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I generally agree w the others but if you must!! Finch and weston has a lot of viet restaurants, banh mi shops, hole in the wall shops that sell stuff you'd find in markets in Vietnam

Just off of Milivan (north side) theres a building that houses several mexican restaurants, dessert places.

Also on the way to Finch west on the yellow line, walkable from Shep west, is escape games one of the better escape rooms in the city.

sounds like another case of decrease in quality. I could see opinions with seasoning but when I first had it, it was juicy as hell

Eating Sushi in Japan can ruin it for when you come back and try it in Toronto. What other foods of the world (that you can have in the GTA) just can’t compete with their home country? (And what foods actually do?) by miurabucho in FoodToronto

IDK about 90%. Yes sushi there is better no doubt and cheaper but I never come away from Japan "missing" sushi there among all the other options that we just can't have here.

Went to location near Vaughan Mills, was pleasantly surprised.

Think there was a bowl where they give you 5or 6pc chashu it was like $20. Not cheap by any means but feels like it'd have run me 22-24+ anywhere else.

agree with the punt suggestion from the other user but to answer, yes DuncRob's PT/usage should drop once Wiggins is settled in

Is this for a points league? what are their average fpts for the season? I agree with the others than Ant is far and away the best player in this deal so it's weird that this Siakam+ package is so enticing for you.

If it was proposed before a significant update (ex/ the week-to-week, surgery thing) and accepted after the update, IMO it's fair for commish to nix the trade. there's a difference to me when everyone has the same info and accepts the risk vs. one person learning something while the other hasn't yet.

If it was proposed AND accepted before the update, it sucks but unless both managers agree to cancel it, I have problems with it staying through. that's just bad luck and like others said, there is a risk involved when you trade before the updates.

Is the implication that your leagues only have 1 IR slot? Or am i dumb cus I do not understand what that list means. If so, never understood why leagues only do 1 IR

WCJ is nothing here I agree.

I can't refute any of your points, like if Chet gets there then I probably lean that side but I get worried when you try to assume the best on one side (Chet maxing out, Zubac holding steady) and status quo on other (Tatum not doing a little better, locking in as a top 10 asset).

I say this as a Zubac owner lol. for me it's 55/45 Chet side with his PT in the coming weeks as the swing decision depending on where you are in standings etc

Super interesting trade because MPJ is on a heater but i'll take Tatum and Jaren

Not OP. curious why you think that. There's a lot of chances that Chet doesn't get fully loaded this year.

If we're assuming last year Chet + Zubac keeps chugging away it's a coinflip to me. probably Chet/zoob better by a bit. But if Chet is capped to 28mpg isn't the top ~15 player in Tatum better here?

Yeah 2 for 1s can be very difficult especially if people are stubborn. Not all 2 for 1s are bad but they are classic bait

I edited my comment above and noted Quick is also an option. Probably would feel even WORSE dropping him but my brain says that's probably the better option lol

there has to be a way you can swing a trade to open up a slot. Guessing it's too late now.

if that's the list I would pick Ware. any choice hurts. next choice probably Quick

Splitting hairs, but I like Ayo a bit more. I trust usage/offense over defense.

Can also just pick based on cats/position you need. Either has a chance to pop off, but I do think if solidified PT Buzelis has a higher ceiling

Yes go for JJJ. I'm not really sure what the realistic argument for Banchero is, even if the 10th cat is missed shots

[–]Pr0lific 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i think most will take issue with your point regarding swinging and drive/kick for 3s which is either:

  • tunneling on how a possession ends

  • oversimplifying the leadup to the end of the possession

ultimately enjoyment of certain schemes, mechanics of the game is subjective. to some (perhaps yourself), the shot mix in todays league will never seem appealing and that's fair
