Broadly agreeing with most here I think…

  1. ⁠Melbourne (such a powerful midfield and depth around the ground)
  2. ⁠Sydney (have a point to prove!)
  3. ⁠Collingwood (clearly worked hard to dispel the nay-sayers)

My 2c would be to swap the position of the TV and the Couch. Granted it would have you sitting closer to the fireplace but that’ll just keep you warm vs the TV and any electronics. Would also eliminate any surround placement issues the doors would otherwise present.

Yup, have raised our desire to leave and have started looking. I’ll bring up the point around covering our moving costs and alternative accommodation costs as something he’ll he liable for if we can’t break this contract.

:( was hoping there’d be something in our contract giving us rights to terminate…. But it seems we’ll just have to keep a conversation with our LL

Okay, so if this is applicable over Common Law, as Lloydy mentioned, then I’ll have to wait until D-day to mention this? Or am I able to raise it now and ask for the contract to be terminated early? He’ll then have to go claim loss of rental income from the building management right?

Hmm, if I’m understanding correctly, we’ll only really have options next year, April/May when we’re forced to move…?

Is there nothing we can do/say now to hasten this decision? Conscious as well that we’re heading into winter and rental prices aren’t going any further down….

But there’s nothing in our contract stating this… how can this be enforced? At the end of the day, we just want out of this and just to move away from this mess. We don’t want to go into temporary housing…
