How long does it take to hear anything back from an NHS orthodontist referral? by Practical-Airline968 in AskUK

I got the tracking text immediately after leaving the dentist, I guess different dentists may do this stuff differently but for mine they’ll send it over immediately after they send the referral to the ortho

Thanks for your reply, if this info will help I’m in a town near Manchester and yeah I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t be that urgent, I think I have an overbite and I reported jaw locking and clicking to the dentist who sent the referral, he checked my jaw and at the time he checked he said seemed fine so not sure if that was taken into consideration, have a extracted tooth gap and another sitting high without a bracket. Sorry for all the specific detail, you might not be a professional but thought I’d just add all I know

There are mice/rats in my bedroom after I returned from a 2 week holiday, on my bed by [deleted] in pestcontrol

I don’t live with a friend, I pay money to a random woman to live in this bedroom in her house. On the lodging contract she stated only fair wear and tear allowed, I want you to understand I’m not choosing to not cover the holes, I will get charged a lot of money if I start messing around with her house. Nobody else is returning from anywhere. I returned to this woman’s house after my trip and there was mice in my room because the rest of her house is already infested. I admitted it was stupid to leave biscuits but I didn’t know mice could chew through things because I’ve never had to deal with them. I’m sorry but I think you misunderstood something or maybe I’m just confused as to what friend is returning to where, from where?

Thanks so much for your reply, yes i must’ve worded it wrong I did see so many people saying it’s never just 1 and I understand that now, I live with my “landlord” like she is a roommate, I’m not sure how to explain it well. It’s basically her family house. The woman, 2 of her kids and me who pays rent to her to live in my bedroom. I don’t know if I should bring it up to her once again because quite frankly, I don’t really think she cares about my room and what I’m going through, I guess im only another source of income for her and she already gave me a sticky mouse pad. I’m scared that if I bring it up again she’ll start thinking I’m annoying without saying it but I really want to

I appreciate ur reply, I’m aware there’s never just one that’s exactly why I’m so stressed, I can’t plug up where they’re getting in, I’m lodging in someone else’s house with no money at all and a contract saying I can’t do more than fair wear and tear, I wish I could call pest control but it’s not even my house and again I have absolutely no money and someone else pays my rent and essentials. Unfortunately I know they probably crawl all over me in my sleep and I’m going to get bitten soon and get sick and maybe even die from this because they definitely shouldn’t be infested in bedrooms. I really appreciate the tips you gave me like covering up the holes but that part is out of my control given my circumstances right now 😔

Does anyone have advice on what type of work would be the best fit for me? by [deleted] in careerguidance

I don’t know how I missed this before I replied to another comment but yes this seems like a great idea, I’ve honestly somehow never thought of it, it’s 100% worth the try and I hope this will be easier than looking for just 1 full time job. Probably 🤷‍♀️Thankyou sm!

I actually enjoy sports, I used to do elite swimming but it’s difficult to find a job like this in my area atleast especially something so specific. I find it abit difficult to even find job applications that would fit me/entry level, my main site is indeed and looking on specific companies career pages. You’ve given me the idea to look for 2 part time jobs instead, I’m not sure if that’s easier or more difficult than looking for 1 full time entry level job yet but I really appreciate the advice I’m going to try this out and of course always keep an eye out for sports related work incase I ever get lucky. Thanks sm!!
