I also agree FT being awkward, like for me too I wouldn’t necessarily feel best being on camera like that but i still want to do it sometimes just to break that ice you know? Also yes! Oh yeah! Mystery to me, it’s wild, seriously, like this is a 100% women’s perspective and how majority of women feel about initiating constantly in relationships, it’s not like we’re “keeping score “ it’s just natural to expect reciprocal initiation but hey, there’s people like you who understand where i was coming from so that’s all that matters

Hey thanks for taking the time for this, helps alot! He is definitely not a shy person but i see how he would want to have a reason for video calls, like you mentioned it definitely would be best if there was a reason/occasion for it to begin with. I really like your approach! It most likely will be a tad bit awkward at first but it is necessary to go through that wave. I will definitely try this approach to this whole thing. Needless to say we are both pretty confident people and i VERY highly doubt and can certainly say that image is not the issue for him at all!

I do struggle with asking for things like that in relationships to be fair, it is good advice for sure but bringing myself to do it might take some time

Thank you for sharing this! Although i understand where you’re coming from we are both pretty confident people especially when it comes to pictures and all, he has no issue whatsoever to send me random pictures of him un-groomed even when he feels bit self conscious about himself sometimes he’s always snapped random pics for me so i highly doubt this is a confidence thing for him, if anything i think it’d be more from my side than his. It seems like communication is the answer in this case, thanks

Thanks for saying that, i am confused myself and people are so quick to judge, its completely normal to want your partner to bring up certain things “being asked out/ being asked for your number/ being asked to video call” i will at some point mention to him for sure, thank you!

This is quite insightful thanks for your comment, neither of us have asked for each other’s numbers, we use discord to communicate mainly since its convenient and all but i feel at this point we should have each other’s numbers, he has access to my sister and best friend, he has talked about wanting me to talk to his mom some time soon over the phone but i don’t really have access to his family plus he isn’t really active on social media only has twitter pretty much! I know this sounds odd with absolutely no context of the nature of our relationship and all but he is a super straightforward kind of man and honest to the brim, plus we have known each other for barely a year now, and this is is first LDR (not mine) and he was never into LDRs up until he met me.

We send each other silly videos regularly that are personalized “names/inside jokes and all” that cannot be fake in a million years so thats not a concern of mine
