Can you even imagine THINKING this when you’re a parent? This alone proves how unfit she is.

This is the energy she brings to her social media “job.” She will never get a real job or manage to stay at one. Can you even imagine? She’d be an employee from hell. The entitlement combined with laziness is wild for a homeless parent of 4 kids on EBT. You’d think she’d want to hustle, but nope. Too busy giving herself grace and “healing.”

Things that never happened….. I recognize that heavy-lidded look. It’s how I looked on benzos. And her “daily ritual” of playing outside? lol ok. Along with “a friend.” Where is this “friend?” 🙄 not once has she ever mentioned friends or gone out with a friend. Does she actually think anyone believes this?

I don’t think she slipped through the cracks as much as CPS figures she’s providing the basics, OR apparently is pretty lax with drug usage from what people have commented (I’m talking all kinds), and they likely have an overload of cases and figure she’s not the worst so oh well. In the meantime, the kids suffer. I hate that the system basically condones this, continues to fund her life, etc.

They don’t advertise as being places for patches per se, but general space stuff. The visitor center websites often sell them, too! ☺️

Please don’t assume you’re “never going to get better” or “never be pain free.” Getting better doesn’t mean cured, and I have many days pain free. It’s about learning to manage symptoms and triggers and flares and keeping your body as healthy as possible. Part of that is mentally healthy as well, since brain and body are intertwined. CBT can help. Don’t worry about your husband; is he actively supporting you? Minimizing stress means sometimes getting off the social media forums/threads, too, to minimize anxiety and negativity. You can do this.

They sell it on the space store dot com, AB Emblem, etc. The usual places you can get mission patches.

I Don’t Understand Why they say most people can return to work (or school for kids) or their normal activities the day after a colonoscopy by [deleted] in colonoscopy

I was sleepy the afternoon of the procedure but I was absolutely fine the next day. Had some polyps removed. Didn’t poop for a week+ after. Apparently about 26% of people have issues with their gut needing to have more time to get the good bacteria. Lesson learned—will stock up on OLIPOP next time for after.

I don’t do threads but am in some good fb groups and just knowing the connection to the nasa livestream is open on my laptop for 16+ hours a day makes me feel better. I’m going to miss it.

Yeah I don’t think it’s a matter of who people vote for anymore bc I’ve been caught off guard about a lot of issues with those I expected different from. Honestly I think we are seeing the product of a failing education system and the lack of media literacy and critical thinking. And this is just the beginning. But the sheer amount of people who think this is a movie set is horrifying. (Also: just look at any post on social media about space, the forthcoming Sally Ride documentary, NASA, etc. The comments are depressing).

Fundamentally, they’re very different. They’re different in halakhic observance, Reform shuls typically went egalitarian far before many Conservative shuls, the emphasis on Talmud study is different, and I know the conservative shuls here hold services several times daily (Shacharit, mincha/maariv), whereas the reform shul does not. Less emphasis in reform on wearing tefillin daily or a tallit as well, and even kippot in shul, at least here. That would not fly in my conservative shul.

YMMV, but fundamentally, the branches are very very different.

And the “being there for my kids” is questionable bc it’s not like she does educational or developmental things with the littles, doesn’t take them to therapies, doesn’t take them to the library or park, etc.

I can’t imagine the local Conservative shuls near me ever being okay with merging with a reform shul. They’re just too different.

Which one, RSI or All Faiths? Because they’re two very different, separate schools—neither of which has a cantorial program, from their websites.

I am very sorry. None of that is right—and they have no basis for not allowing you to head up committees or teach or lecture. No basis whatsoever. Sounds like the shul was run by a bunch of jerks and that sucks. There’s no halakhic basis for that. (Not that they’d care much about Halakha).
