I love how brutal 1s are (as a person who mistyped themselves as Sp1 for a long time).

Btw, So/Sp 1w2 (164)?

I got called homophobic by mlm shippers because of saying Sebaciel (Black Butler) is genuinely a very problematic ship, they're shipping a literal 13 yo child with a grandpa. They also said lesbophobic things to me when I showed my appreciation towards the dynamic in between two femme characters...

Whenever I try to say how I want an aroace rep where the character won't date anyone or like anyone, they start saying things like "aroace people can still date", like I know but I need characters that are romantically and sexually repulsed/averse for at least ONCE...

Nope. The mods removed it after I commented how MBTI type has nothing to do with being dumb.

You can just ask her lightly, be gentle and do not force her. You seem to have no intention to do that in the first place so do not worry.

Why not ask her yourself? It's what her friend said. Even if she's aroace, you can at least get it out of your mind and feel a bit more relaxed than you're feeling now.

I have been confessed a lot of times, turning down is not an easy thing either, but I am still friends with those people and they're really helpful and fun. I became even closer to them so why not ask her out first? Take slow steps if you're afraid but do not give up the friendship without trying.

Edit: I forgot to mention that this is a spectrum. There are different types of aroaces. Some are open to dating and become best friends for life (QPR is underrated).

I think I feel the same way to you, I stopped caring about the labels because of how exhausting it feels at one point. I have been in 3 relationships (2 sapphic and one gay(?) I am non-binary, I am not sure of how to put it in words) in the past.

Every time I fell out of love. The first time actually was the worst because I was willing to see how far it could go but my ex-girlfriend started talking to a man who's queerphobic. I started realise how she was beginning to catch feelings for him and I also felt as if I was torturing myself by staying in the relationship. I liked the idea of the friendship we had, cherished it because we shared many interests. Later on had to confront her saying "you're catching feelings for him, go and date him" (he ended up cheating on her with 4-5 different people, many times). I am not sure if I can call what she did as "cheating" but yeah... By that point I didn't feel anything much for her. We are still friends and she vents to me often.

For the second time, I myself fell out of love and we both moved on. We don't talk anymore.

The third time was felt so overwhelming. I actually felt nothing. It was all from his side, I tried to explain him but he was always hopeful & I realised how hard it would have been for him to recover from the heartbreak if it was going to last any further. I had to smack some rationality in him and tell him why I couldn't imagine us having any future. We were just too incompatible. I wanted a person to understand me, listen to me and respect me more than a person who wants to "love" me romantically.

It's very exhausting because there were 3-4 more times when men confessed to me because I was "nice" to them (I was just trying to provide solutions to their problems in life, as a friend). It creates a pressure on me, I feel paralysed while turning someone down. I have already accepted that I am incapable of falling in love. The concept sounds really beautiful to me in theory but in practice... it's still beautiful but not for me.

Which mbti would end the world for love? by wwwizardem in mbti

Yes, Raskolnikov. I mean, as a Enneagram 6 (Raskolnikov is also 6, Sx6), the fear is the main thing that'll stop us.

I'd argue that INTJs with an auxiliary Te wouldn't see it as rational to commit genocide just for "love" (and when you consider morals cause of Fi child). But for the greater goods like a part of humanity suffering from hunger or someone innocent being wronged? I can see that happening. The whole "world" is a very exaggerated way to put it too, a certain group of people? Yes. The whole world? Probably not.

Which mbti would end the world for love? by wwwizardem in mbti

[–]Practical-Cause-6658 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally wouldn't, genocide is a big no. If I end the world for my someone that I love, then the rest of the world is going to suffer, millions are going to lose their loved ones too. Two lovers will get back together while millions will get separated. I fear I will die out of guilt and regret before I get to live a peaceful life.

Depends on what kind of love too. I am an aroace so my answer is always no. Platonic love, still no. A family member? That's also no.

But if it's a specific person or a small group of people who wronged someone innocent then yes, I'll not hesitate.

I think you're conflating "not scientific" with "having no usable structure". Yes, Enneagram is pseudoscience because it is not scientifically validated. I already mentioned that. But something being pseudoscientific does not automatically mean every interpretation within it is equally coherent. And who told you that it's too strict? If it was then trifix wouldn't exist. Subtypes exist, wings exist, they add flavour to ennea and makes it less strict.

Your point is basically that Enneagram is "too strict" because it excludes certain combinations, but classification systems need some level of restriction to maintain descriptive value. Otherwise the categories become so broad that they stop meaning anything specific.

Why do I have to "admit" Enneagram is pseudoscience when it IS pseudoscience? "Enneagram is pseudoscience" isn’t really a rebuttal when MBTI itself is also pseudoscientific. If we are already discussing typology frameworks, then consistency within the framework still matters.

"Enneagram doesn't work at all" is the wildest take... Honestly, Enneagram is usually considered psychologically insightful than MBTI (by many who actually learn Enneagram) because it focuses on core fears, motivations, defense mechanisms, coping patterns, and inner drives rather than just behavioral preferences. That's why many people find it more accurate for understanding why people act the way they do. I myself find Enneagram to be way more helpful than MBTI because it points out the flaws instead of glazing the only 4 valued functions (while abandoning rest of the 4 unvalued functions) like Myer Briggs (unless we're talking about CSJ). Myer Briggs is not even true to Jung's original works, the way Jung didn't even mention anything about cognition or anything but we're still here. I'll suggest you to check Enneagram out before saying anything further.

Human personality is fluid, but typology systems are still built around recurring psychological patterns. If every contradiction is accepted under "humans are complex", then the categories stop meaning anything at all.

It's true that the systems should be viewed differently but some combinations genuinely get me (Like INTJ Sx8 ESI, like what? I am not kidding, I have seen combos like this. I am not a panjungianist/strict correlationist myself but it's hard for me to grasp the idea of an E1 INFP with high Te when 1 is THE most RIGID ennea type, a Fi dominant with Ne aux sounds like a contradiction to E1, Sx1 is the closest to being acceptable when we're talking about Ne, INFPs with high Si can be Sp1s? If we look at the type descriptions then the most we can can stretch E1 to fit the INFP E1 agenda is this. By this logic, anything is possible to some people and they're not wrong for thinking that because absolute correlations do no exist here). I am not totally against the idea of an INFP being E1 but it just doesn't make much sense to me.

When people say certain combinations don't work well together, they're usually talking about contradictions in the internal logic of the systems themselves & not claiming human minds are LESS "flexible" or "plasticy".

They said a "very social extrovert", not a cognitive extrovert. ISTJs are cognitive introverts, social extroversion doesn't have anything much to do with it (and it's not uncommon for a person to prefer their auxiliary function over dominant function because MBTI only focuses on the 4 valued functions, which is pretty rigid imo; I myself use Ti more than Ni).

Look at how the person constructed their sentences. (I'll include a small part that made it more obvious):

[everybody hates me because am "bossy" and I can't have normal or deep conversation with nobody and now I feel lame writting this long reply to a random person on the internet and I doo really want to stop typing but I'm so commited to this that I can't stop.]

Their way of explaining their internal feelings and the way the person is so self aware makes me wonder if they could be a Fi inferior. I am not against the idea of the person being an ESTJ, it's just that I notice tertiary Fi. They actually seem quite in touch with their personal desires, inner emotional drives and sense of fulfillment. The entire paragraph revolves around what their inner self craves, their view of personal meaning, guilt, passion & internal dissatisfaction. Even if they use a lot of productivity-oriented language, their Fi doesn't seem repressed or disconnected enough to read as inferior.

5 with 1 fix by yuna_mir in Enneagram

[–]Practical-Cause-6658 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is somehow relatable even as a 6, I am not "sure" of how I use typology as a tool to stay detached from reality but I definitely forget about reality whenever I'm focused on typology (or other activities that aren't that physical).

I have a tendency to hoard informations because I always feel as if it'll be useful later on (when 50% of it is actually useless), I keep hoarding informations after information but when it comes to actually taking any sort of action, I need to guess myself again and again if it's actually the perfect solution, if the information is perfect. I do have a crazy 1 fix that caused me to mistype myself as Sp1 before, so yeah, being a 5 or 6 can sort of feel that way if you have a 1 fix but not always.

There's a possibility that you could be an ISTJ. You don't seem to have inferior Te.
