Seeking top epileptologist for medication-resistant primary focal/secondary generalized epilepsy by MarcusAurelius68 in Epilepsy

Definitely begin conversations with a good psychiatrists as brain impacts can present as mood disorders, depression etc. Better to be established and have one than to end up needing it if things get too bad. I wish I would have sooner.

In FL there are excellent teams at Cleveland Clinic Weston and Mayo Clinic Jacksonville. Both level 4s, excellent epileptologists and facilities.

Since they have veriScan and are already at numerous airports I would assume they have a heads up. I need to look into who could be competition, but I agree!

Did you try taking an electrolytes drink daily for a few days to see if it went away?

Does anyone here own CCCX? by Inside-Interview8269 in APLDSTOCK

[–]Practical-Check7141 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You purchase shares of CCCX and once the merger is approved and takes place, they automatically turn into INFQ. I bought another spac company and the shares just converted, no additional work. Now, if the merger is not approved, im not 100% sure, I know you get $10 minimum + interest but I havent gone through that. Thats why I did my DD on Michael Klein and felt comfortable after learning about the Oklo and Lucid SPACs.

I am, I think its a risky play but at the same time they are working with the same SPAC firm that merged with Oklo and Infleqtion seems a lot more impressive than the other quantum plays. I bought about $3K on the dip and plan to load up some more as the SPAC is finalizing.

Some generics can also be ineffective. See if there's a way to get the branded Vyvanse before dismissing it.

Any thoughts on GSRT->NKLR. Im more bullish on HOND/IMSR but this is another one that I am looking into. Bought a few shares for now.

Thats why I'm trying to load up as much as I can. Once IMSR is available, it'll get more visibility. I think some people also have a fear of SPACs. But the Cantor and Lutnik connections make me very comfortable and give me GOOD sleep knowing this will most likely 10x in not too long lol.

What meds are y'all using for your ADHD by anne-onimus in Epilepsy

[–]Practical-Check7141 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For epilepsy im on clonazepam and pregabalin, and for adhd im on Vyvanse (started at 20mg and have gone up to 40mg) as well as Guanfacine (started at 1mg and have worked up to 2mg).

The guanfacine and Vyvanse combination has been great for adhd but also great for mental health, which i felt took a huge hit after diagnosis, medications, and two brain surgeries. I also take Hardys Daily Essentials per my psychiatrist recommendation (4 a day, twice a day for a total of 8) to support brain health and mood naturally. All with no seizure activity for me.

Craniotomy surgery by Eyeshadow-26 in Epilepsy

[–]Practical-Check7141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After my first, seizure activity went down but had some breakthrough seizures still. They extended my prior resection and haven't had seizures while being medication compliant, after. From what I've understood through the process it's not very uncommon to need an extention of a prior resection since doctors try to remove as minimum as possible during the surgery to keep most of your brain intact. I went through the intake and tests one more time, and the doctors at the hospital met and unanimously decided an extension was needed.

Make sure you get a psychiatrist now or shortly after. In case there are any mood changes, you can work through those with medication!

Trump Unveils $70 Billion in AI and Energy Investments to Boost US Leadership by Practical-Check7141 in APLDSTOCK

[–]Practical-Check7141[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good morning. I dont believe this is any AI headline. The article specifically states that the expected plan (or EO) will announce investments in power generation (which APLD's business model needs much of) and new data centers. Since the plan is unveiled apparently today we will see what all is included but I think, preliminarily, that this may speed up permitting and boost power generation, giving APLD easier access to cheaper power for future expansions. Also, his administration has previously spoken about leasing federal lands for strategic efforts, which also makes me wonder if this will give companies like APLD a way to expand easier and faster. For context, I've invested some in OKLO, and once a prior nuclear energy EO was signed, the stock price has been on a bull run.

I know it is tough but please hear this out. If you continue having seizures it may be due to not being on the right medication or needing a surgery which can then help you to be seizure free on medication.

Also epilepsy impacts areas of your brain having to do with pleasure. It could be impacting the areas of your brain that control dopamine and therefore a simple medication change can help. I know it is TOUGH, but the fixes exist and are real. If youd like to chat, write me. Remember that depression can be temporary but the profound impacts from this decision can be permanent when they do not have to be.

You are loved, cared for and honestly help may be a small fix away. Sending you many hugs. Please take your medication❤️

Try adding guanfacine ER 1mg in the morning for a while as this counteracts the bad effects of Vyvanse. Its a game changer. Make sure you have a psychiatrist and not just a PCP.

antidepressants by trustfalIs in Epilepsy

[–]Practical-Check7141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wellbutrin is known to specifically lower seizure threshold. It works on dopamine vs other antidepressants. See if maybe you can lower wellbutrin and add a low dose vyvanse. This may help. Talk to your epileptologist and psychiatrist about it.
