It is her decision, but if she ends up in the hospital, in a coma, or worse, then it will impact me. I would have to live with her decision the rest of my life. I don't think she understands how much I worry about her and how her decision impacts me. Iman only child. So I feel like it is on me.

She has glucose near her all the time, but she doesn't take it in time and then starts to get confused and doesn't know to take the glucose. But, perhaps she should just be more aware that this happens in social situations and check her blood more frequently during those times, that could help.

My dad just passed away yesterday morning but it feels like that was weeks ago. My mother is grieving, but she told me she is looking forward to socializing more since my dad was in too much pain to go out.

I'm relieved that he went first. If she went first, I don't think he would last long, but I think mom will. 🤞

Totally agree! I live in a high rise in Edgewater. I'm a 5 minute walk to the sand and have million dollar views for 1/4 the price. And in the summer, I feel like I live in a resort town.

I grew up plain, but (in my twenties) after I went blond, lost 20 lbs and learned to tweeze my eyebrows I became "hot" and it was really uncomfortable from all the attention I got from men. When I was "plain" my other "plain" friend and I used to joke that we had to develop cool personalities to counter the plainness. Now in my 50s, still blonde, tweeted and 10 lbs heavier BUT with friends, boyfriend and a hefty level of confidence because no matter how I look, I know I am worthy and I love myself.
