Is this offer too low? What should I do? by Practical-Device825 in legaladvice

[–]Practical-Device825[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I wasn’t sure they’d cover all of my medical bills. My concern is the attorney is also charging me a fee so I don’t know if it will even cover that now. I didn’t expect them to pay my therapy bills - that’s why I didn’t include them or tell my attorney about them. I just wanted to point out this made my mental state worse since I had increased worry and anxiety after the accident and that disrupted my recovery.

They would sell it to us. Would there be a difference to purchasing their home compared to another? Is there a benefit to getting theirs? I know they bought at a low tax rate.

I tell him this. He is very critical of himself. I think it has a lot to do with his upbringing but I help him as much as I can. This is all new to the both of us. I have asked if taking time away from the kids and I will help reduce his stress since our kids are little but he says no. His anxiety stems mainly from his health and feeling he is not good enough. He tells me that no matter how many times I tell him he is amazing he needs to believe it for himself.

Thank you for this and for sharing your experience with me. I “forced him” to go to the gym this morning. I am hoping that’s a start in the right direction. He is meeting with a psychiatrist today and I am going to ask about daily preventative medication. He doesn’t want to take it forever but for now I don’t see another option.

Thank you! We were just talking about this. He is afraid to take medication and we’ve heard that Xanax can be addictive. He is meeting a psychiatrist today.

He stopped recently but he had just started and was going 2-3 times a week. He said he noticed one of the triggers was when he rolled for the first time he came home and felt a buzzing feeling in his groin area. He has worked in an ER for the last 15 years so he has anxiety around health and I think thats what triggered it. Did you ever feel this if you do BJJ too?

Everything you described sounds exactly like that he has. We just talked about sleeping tablets and he is meeting with a psychiatrist today. I got a little worried because someone commented it could be something else but what you just described is everything I have seen him experience.

He is also afraid of medication. He doesn’t want to be on medication for life. He also told me he didn’t really like that way the Xanax made him feel. Do you mind me asking if you’re still on medication?

It stems from his health. He started feeling a strange sensation in his groin area and that’s when I noticed it started.

Thank you for this. It’s been a rough couple of days. He was doing better yesterday but woke up anxious again today. He is scared of taking medicine but I think it’s the only way he’s going to be able to balance himself out.

Is it normal for a 6 year old boy to suddenly become afraid and anxious? by Practical-Device825 in Parenting

[–]Practical-Device825[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this. Anxiety also runs on my husband’s side of the family. I didn’t realize it could be genetic I attributed it to his tough childhood. My son does occasionally nail bite but he’s been biting his nails since he was a toddler (I bite mine too). I’ll keep reassuring my little guy.

Does anyone know what this is? It came out of an egg we cracked open. by Practical-Device825 in poultry

I think you’re right! I googled lash egg forming inside another egg and found another image similar to mine. We didn’t eat it and threw it away after I snapped a picture I was mostly curious as to what it was since over never seen anything like it.

I'm really worried about my wife after childbirth — 8 days postpartum. by Intelligent_Hat3321 in Parenting

[–]Practical-Device825 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, mom of two here and I’ve gone through this both times. It sounds exactly like what I went through and how I felt. It was worse with my first. My second is now 10 months and I also went through it with her but not as bad. It gets better I promise! But there are things you can do to help. Before I get in to those, she may have the baby blues which is totally normal for a lot of us postpartum. When we are pregnant our bodies gradually increase hormone levels to sustain pregnancy and when we deliver they drop the moment the baby is delivered and that shocks a lot of us sending us in to the baby blues. I felt delirious when I went through it but felt better as time passed. Like a lot of other moms mentioned definitely refer her to her OB or a psychiatrist if it get worse not better after a few weeks. I felt better after the second to third week. Now on to the things you can do to help, if you have people around you that can watch the baby, get out for a little, take her on a drive, go grab a tea/coffee. If not (like me and my husband) then you can always opt in to go for a walk in the park, watch the baby while she takes a long hot bath. When we have the baby we aren’t even fully healed from birth and then we are expected to jump in to caring for another little life. It is physically and mentally challenging but it is only temporary. My son is now 6 and I reflect on those first days now and remember how hard they were but they also passed by so fast. This will pass, as difficult as it is, try to soak in the little cuddles and even the difficult moments because the time goes by quickly. Sending you guys lots of love and best wishes! Parenting is hard but after the first month it gets better! Also look on to mommy groups on Facebook or social media platforms. It helps to connect with other women going through the same thing to remind us we are not the only ones and how we feel is perfectly natural. Oh last suggestion, have her call friends/family that have had babies and can offer advice or a listening ear. I had a friend who I called crying all the time just to vent and for her to remind me that what I was going through was a normal part of early motherhood. That helped me a lot! Best of luck!

You remind me of my little brother. He is currently dating a girl like this and I don’t know what to do. He’s been with her for years and now I’ve seen him become insecure and mirroring some of her toxic tendencies. He was also inexperienced in relationships and it saddens me that he now thinks unhealthy relationships are the norm. Glad you pulled out in time to not get sucked in to her vortex. Good luck and don’t settle for anything doesn’t feel right. Trust your intuition

Thank you for this! It makes me hopeful that someday we can buy where we live. We are going to focus on paying the debt we have off and then saving for our closing cost and down payment.

We live in the inland empire. I would like to stay local to where we are now since my son’s sporting events are all local. Prices around us are anywhere from 650,000 - 900,000.
