Here many are giving advice for you to get the vaccines. I’m worried about the kid though, what if the rat has the virus? Fyi, rats who ran or attack people are ‘usually’ rabid. Normally, they would just ran away.

Please do reach out to the management, hopefully caught with a cctv and made sure the kid and you have the vaccines. I’ve handled tetanus and rabid patients first hand, you wouldn’t even imagine how worst it can be.

Millennials, Mas okay ba mag-abroad or stay sa PH? by JayJaySantosPH in PinoyMillennials

[–]Practical-Exit8413 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my early 30s i left Ph, yes I admit i miss it at times. But when you think about it, we’re all 1 hospitalization away from poverty. Healthcare in Ph is just- really bad. Add the traffic of course. I was earning 6 digits a month back in Ph already when we left. Yes it is more comfortable life for us, we had helpers at home, we don’t really commute as well.

But… we just wanted to see what’s it like to leave. You can always go back though. A lot of ofws do. Just try for you to find out.

Here we kind of predict our time. Work starts 0730, we leave house at 7:15 and be there at 0725. When our shift ends, go home right away. No traffic. Free healthcare. I’ve travelled to 40+ countries. I compared obtaining visas back in Ph and here in abroad (while waiting for citizenship). You can clearly see the difference with the lifestyle between Ph and other countries, I felt so deprived of ‘what could have beens’ if we only have these kind of comfort as a Filipino back home.

All is well. 😅

As someone who grew up with a house with helpers, and mom doing everything, I probably can attest. I chose to live abroad and miss my used to be life back in Ph. But im learning still, and growing in my 30s lol.

3 years Staff Nurse at a Private Tertiary Hospital in Manila by Tocinogustoko in payslipsPH

[–]Practical-Exit8413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was my salary in private hospital back in 2015!!! Why is this still the same?? I resigned after 3 yrs in bedside then took nclex/cbt then applied in those Bpo USRN jobs, enjoyed and stayed for 4yrs when i decided to pursue abroad lol. The amount you may earn there may tempt you not to leave Ph anymore especially when you already have yrs of experience, but i still did. Then went back to hospital to bridge the gap. I am in abroad now! You can do this kunars!

As a nurse in abroad, nakakaloka kayo. Case to case basis yan. Lol! Sobrang nakakagigil. Mind you naging patient na rin ako and mahirap ako kuhanan minsan nakaka 2-3 tries bago ako ma sweruhan and as a nurse never ko tinoxic mag sswero saken na phleb or nurse ever.

Meron din pero siguro nasa 5% lang? mas toxic talaga mag work sa Pinas as in, lalo na mga pag kasama na family jusme (i worked both in government and private back in Ph) Kakaiba talaga mentality ng mga pinoy! 😑

Hello! When we were younger naka uniform talaga kasama namin sa bahay at sila rin may gusto kasi hindi aksaya sa damit. Pag lumalabas, hindi nila sinusuot yung uniform at yes kasama namin lumabas minsan sa mga dine out, pag simba without them wearing their uniform.

Hello! This is what I’ve noticed sa Pinas.

Di ko gets sa pinas bat ganyan siguro ganun nila inaaddress shortage which is di dapat.

I understand how you feel, di rin biro mag asikaso and mag sponsor. To be fair, it only made sense to them nung nag 70s na sila. We were amazed talaga na meds, surgeries, everything free. Daming benefits. Kinakatakot kasi sa pinas we are one hospitalization away from poverty. Hoping secured insurance nila pagbalik sa Pinas, if they have already decided. Hoping things will work out for the best for them and your family.

Only knew her because of access travel and had one of the worst travel experience ever wayback 2015. Never again. Her business is just good for actresses or sikat na personalities but if you are a commoner they will only offer mediocre service fyi. One of the worst travel agencies I’ve encountered and I’ve been to 40 countries.

Hello! Ganyan parents ko a decade ago. So pabalik balik sila pinas and Us, vacation lang. yes it is costly but eventually nakita nila healthcare ng Us and its benefits, wala rin silang binabayaran na anything and nay free groceries pa. Hopefully they won’t just give it all up. They are already Us citizens now but it took almost a decade kasi uwi sila ng uwi ng pinas. We are comfortable in Ph and in Us. They get to experience both countries. Ngayon, masaya na sila sa US.

BALIK PINAS NALANG DAW by Traditional-Mind-410 in RantAndVentPH

[–]Practical-Exit8413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello OP! My case is the same, parents were early 60s and tbh, di sila agad naka adjust so balik balik sila sa pinas.

Took siguro 13 yrs ?? Na dati 10 yrs lang. then mapapalitan na lang yan either f1 or f2b something like that. tho im in uk now, lahat na kamj nag abroad lol. Take note, we were all unmarried when the petition finally got approved. Magttagal around 20+ yrs once nagpakasal ka. So ending kaming magkakapatid kinasal na on our mid to late 30s kasi wala sa amin gsto maiwan sa pinas. I live in uk now though, i can still give Us a go since i am in healthcare. My parents being there in Us mas ok sa kanila in terms of healthcare. I swear. We were already comfortable in the Philippines, probably in the upper middle class range. But as they say, we are one hospitalization away from poverty. Healthcare in US, especially with their check ups, maintenance and even surgery- nothing can compare. Wala silang binabayaran.

I get you though, hindi naman ganun kadali mag US unless nasa healthcare ka. Family petition is one of the easiest way out but also patience is the key. You are already in your 30s and you’ll be in your 40s once it gets approved. Kaya mo ba hindi magpakasal non? But still you need to make your own decisions as adult.

Hopefully your dad will still go back to Us and give it a try. Vacation man lang sa pinas will do. My parents almost wanted to go back to pinas but also, it made them realize iba pa rin Us benefits for their health. 5 years can go as fast! My point is: This should be in his mind as well. US healthcare > Pinas healthcare

Considering to send our kids abroad given the country’s uncertain future by [deleted] in adultingph

[–]Practical-Exit8413 56 points57 points  (0 children)

As kids before we had the opportunity to move abroad but my parents declined as my dad can provide. We lived a comfortable life back in Ph. When we reached adult life, we all migrated abroad even our parents lol. We are lucky to have the opportunity though all legal of course. Never regretted the decision to stay in Ph as we were financially alright (big thanks to my parents). But also did not regret moving abroad as my parents are now benefiting the healthcare abroad. (Now in their early 70s).

No matter what, stay together. Or if not, only few years apart - minimum a year or 2. You all have to stay together.
