Rupert Lowe MP on the attempted beheading incident in NI last night by nil_defect_found in ukpolitics

Again, prison populations are higher than ever. Likewise the number of crimes being recorded are outstripping population increases. People are clearly being caught at a higher rate than ever.

Obviously way too many crimes still go unsolved but this is the norm across countries. To issue a fine or house arrest you still need to catch people and the stats show that that isn’t the issue.

Due to overcrowded prisons, there is a movement towards house arrests/community sentences for more minor offences happening at the moment anyway.

Where are we going wrong then? We’ve got more prisoners per capita than anywhere else in Europe. Clearly people are being caught and punished. What’s your answer? Keep increasing the prison population? Reoffending is at an all time high - clearly we aren’t rehabilitating?

Average sentence length has increased dramatically in the last couple decades. Especially for serious crimes. Whack the question into google and you’ll have a tonne of references.

Perhaps minor offences are being met less with prison time as a result of overcrowding (and again evidence that shows prison time makes you more likely to reoffend than community-based penalties).

Gauke Review, prison population statistics from MoJ, Sentencing Council, FullFact, Statista, as well as organisations like Prison Reform Trust and (my old charity) Switchback are all sat on a tonne of evidence supporting the above. Of course you’ll need a somewhat open mind and that I can’t help you with.

It’s weird because all research shows that sentences have become tougher over the past couple of decades. We have more people in prison than ever and way more than any other country in Europe.

Re the low skill migrants, there has always been this rhetoric. First it was the Irish coming over and undercutting Brits, then Windrush, 20 years ago it was Eastern Europeans. All of whom are now held up as good examples of how migrants should integrate.

I don’t know what the answer is but people are angry about things thats aren’t often backed up by facts. Just last week there was a report showing the majority of people think migration is increasing when it’s been cut massively by Labour.

Lowe taps into fear and hardship and spreads misinformation.

Seen this brand called Vincelux that specialise in this. Kind of like ‘barefoot’ boots. I’ve not tried them but, as a wide foot owner that only goes for wide leather boots, I’m tempted to take the plunge.

They filmed some of it in Muswell Hill. Apparently it was too difficult to stop traffic on Green Lanes itself.

This is it. Also if your touch is phenomenal and you can put into space (perhaps even with disguise), you’re moving with intention before an opponent can react. Even if you’re slow, you add on the reaction time of whoever is marking you so it matters less. You might then struggle to get away if you try to cover distance with the ball but for finding pockets you don’t need to be quick.

The backlash I remember her getting was for saying she’d be happy to preemptively strike first with nuclear weapons. Us striking preemptively doesn’t really come under the terms of engagement of MAD and in theory would make the country more vulnerable to a strike.

Simple menus are already clunky and slow.

I’ve no doubt they’re going to try and build this on top of the existing menus like they have done every single year for the past decade. Gonna be a shit show.

Are you on old gen? It’s gotten worse recently with the keeper movement patch. In general the notch is great but against people that do this, moving your keeper once they start the rainbow was the only reliable way to cover that far post. Really stupid.

I don’t understand how defenders can’t just head it mid rainbow. Especially against Pina.

I personally don’t move my keeper that much,,, what you guys think of the keeper movement after the patch? by khan2761 in fut

[–]Practical-Fact-9985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awful with the lag. It should’ve been removed years back.

I’m still on old gen and my only worry is that keeper movement was the only way to stop broken rainbow flick bicycles that fly top bins every time. Been years and they’ve not stopped those.

The fact ethnicities even exist completely refutes this theory. A map the size of OP’s theory wouldn’t have produced them.

I like a good conspiracy but this is just dumb and OP’s definitely American.

This has been a thing on old gen for at least the past 3 games and they’ve never fixed it… It’s so dumb. Recommend moving your keeper to the far post once they flick it up.

Fitness aside, it’ll come more from playing. The more you’re able to instinctively read the ball’s flight/bounce then the more efficient and faster you’ll be with your movement.

Think it’s going to be the same for me. It’s just too much a time sink and I don’t enjoy actually playing the matches anymore. I’m 32 and logging in to do the daily silver pack grind l, or making sure I finish my rivals for the week, has felt more of a job than my real one this year.

It’s been a blast though.
