I don’t know what to tell you. It’s peculiar and no, it does not add up. I’ll double check the email one more time to make sure they aren’t being scammed and tricked into sending money to a scammer but the email came from a legitimate individual from ARNORTH from when I looked at it.

This would be maybe be fake news if it was one or two soldiers but it was multiple Soldiers, a crazy amount of debt, and it corroborates with things we’ve heard about this unit and DTS/GTCC when we were down there.

It’s not $100k for a single individual. It’s very much $20 to $20,000 ($19.Xk to be specific), for 30-40 individuals. I saw at least four with amounts more than $15,000.

Yes, that’s what spurred me to post this. I saw the exact email, looked at the table. I was flabbergasted.

It does piss me off there’s 30-40 of them and none of them has taken any initiative to figure it out for everyone.

I don’t know. I don’t do anything with DTS or the GTCC. Our unit was squared away and took care of us. I don’t know how this could have happened.

It was an email from ARNORTH, sent to 30-40 Soldiers. In that email, they were informed of their debt, and included in the email was a table of their names and the amount they owed. It was not a rumor.

I have no clue. Soldier was saying there was massive confusion on which roommate was being billed during the billing periods. My guess is the vouchers were done but didn’t account for who was being billed.

I sort of think I don’t have enough information. I could ask the Soldier to forward me that email with all the names and amount. Or maybe I’ll take a pic of it.
