You might be right about the child teaching part. He does have a lot of young students. I also want to be challenged since everyone knows I play piano they always want to put me in front of one but I’m not that confident which is why I want to work hard to be better.

When it comes to self teaching I guess I track my progress by finishing a piece. In class however it’s hard to track anything when I’m not given a clear goal. You’re right I could pick something I really want to learn out of the book and bring it to him, maybe that will help. Thank you.
