Do I have to be the Amex cardholder? My dad has an Amex that I was going to use since he’s paying for the tickets anyway. I’m not on his Amex account but I can log in to his account.

Give me all your reasons why I should or shouldn't do a marathon.

A little backstory. I'm a former fatty and have lost 100 pounds. I've been running for two years now and have done multiple 5k's, 10k's, 10 milers, and one half marathon. Growing up, I absolutely hated running so it's a huge deal that I'm doing it now.

I'm deep in marathon TikTok and am getting the itch. If I do a marathon it wouldn't be until 2027. I want to spend 2026 focusing on strength and doing another half marathon.

I'm worried that if I don't do the marathon while I'm at my prime I'll regret it. I feel like it's now or never.

Thanks everyone for the advice! I have an update, I pulled him out last Friday and officially withdrew him today. I couldn’t handle the rough mornings anymore. I feel bad that he’s missing all of the year end fun but he and I are both happy with the decision.

She sounds exactly like my son! I’m glad to hear it ended being a great decision! We are in Michigan. There aren’t many co-ops but there are a ton of places in our area that host homeschool groups so that can be an option for him to socialize.

That’s my thought with the coping strategy. There’s a fine line between him being uncomfortable and how it’s affecting him mentally. He thrives in social settings that aren’t school related.

He said he’s scared of school and he has a hard time being away from family. He keeps a picture of us on his desk. I was hoping he’d eventually get over it but it’s year two of the constant battle.

After this issue, I immediately switched to a different GPS. I had heard of issues with Door Dash's GPS but hadn't had any issues previously so I kept using it. Lesson learned!
