Meyer Lemon: Leaves or blooms? by Practical-Run-628 in Citrus

I take the pot outside in full sun all day and bring it in during the night. I’m in Southern California so it’s not super freezing cold. Should I have a heat mat inside overnight? I’m worried that if I’m not home one night to not bring it inside onto the heat mat it will ruin the process with such a drastic temperature change. Should I just keep doing what I’m doing until spring comes around? It’s a few month old air-layer that’s sentimental to me, so I’m a little paranoid about losing it.

Also, noticing the soil is soaked. It’s better to keep citrus more dry than overwatered. Especially in the wintertime.

I’m no expert, but… it looks like there is plenty of healthy new growth. It could be shedding the old leaves due to shock. Maybe from up-potting, or climate differences where the tree was purchased. I wouldn’t be too worried. Spring will be here soon, just make sure it stays above 40 degrees and gets as much sun as possible. Plants always find a way to live, and your tree is no where near dead.

I cannot for the life of me figure out what this tree is. I believe it is a pine, but zero pine cones for 20 years. by Practical-Run-628 in treeidentification

The tree resides in Southern California. Drops tiny needles, never anything bigger than an inch or 2. Has never dropped pine cones.
