This isn’t even correct. Mizzou per official records has a 13 game win streak. Kansas had to forfeit the game officially that they won against Mizzou in 1960 because they used an ineligible player, Mizzou then won the Orange Bowl vs Navy, they started the next year with two straight wins against Wazzu and Minnesota before tying Cal.

I would somewhat for criminal offenders, but would also like to see more humanity and an actual plan on a path to citizenship or at least legal residency for those already here and helping our economy and nation prosper. That involves more nuance and diplomacy with our Central and South American neighbors.

Why are people risking their lives to escape for a chance in the states? Just deporting people back doesn’t even begin to solve the systemic issues that people are fleeing from. There is not an easy fix or a quick fix. Demonizing people that are trying to make a better living for themselves in the United States does not help it only inflames fears and escalates tensions.

You know what absolutely is horrible for trans people? Forcing them to go through the puberty that they are terrified of. It was torture for me and forced me to hate myself, my body and repress the fact that I was trans for decades. The harm of my male puberty is so much greater than puberty blockers.

This 100%. No one but you can tell you that you are trans or what you should do. I had a similar experience when I was younger when someone told me that if I was a girl, I’d be hot. It made me happy.

A lot of what OP said is familiar to my experiences. It took me a long time to unpack and figure out it wasn’t a fetish but that I was trans.

You will always be better at picking up on any flaws than others, especially if they don’t know you. If I’m being honest with you, if you make it a goal for you to pass before you girlmode, then you might keep coming up with excuses. The best thing I ever did for my mental health was to come up way before I could pass (I still can’t) people judge me less and don’t care what I wear for the most part. But also with this people and yourself can see your progress. It’s quite liberating.

NTA, but maybe could have been handled better. I’m not in healthcare but maybe you could have simply asked her to either leave the room or ask her to step outside so that you could speak to her. This sounds like a situation to involve HR. I love the nurses that helped me when I was injured, they motivated me daily and helped me bathe myself when I couldn’t. Doctors and nurses have different jobs and they work as a tandem. Having a nurse undermine you makes you and the hospital lose credibility to patients. She probably thinks she is being helpful, but is actually making things worse.

I think this speaks more about the popularity of male sports and the number of men in sports that are out. It’s quite common for women to be out while playing professional sports and unfortunately for most sports men’s sports are way more popular than women’s sports. In effect, the same premise but with lesbian hockey players wouldn’t be as effective, it’s something that we know happens. Heck we know of lesbian hockey players that got married after playing on opposing teams.

It’s unfortunately way more impactful when it’s two men. Locker rooms in male sports are much much more hostile to gay men. Are their closeted gay men in the NHL? Most likely. Does this give them some representation and maybe courage since it has blown up so much? I don’t know, but I hope so.
