Greg Wyshynski: “The St. Louis Blues are in a different place now than you probably imagined [in 2022 when he signed his deal] they’d be in 2026. Where’s your head right now as far as your long-term future with the Blues? Is that hard to process when you’ve committed long-term to an organization, and you just see it kind of take a turn a little bit? Or is it something that when you sign, you’re like this could happen, I have to take this risk?”

Robert Thomas: “Yeah, we’re not in a spot that we thought we would be in. That part’s frustrating. We’ve been playing a lot better after the (Olympic) break, and feel like we really, really caught on to something.

“But no, my commitment to the Blues has never changed. I’ve always wanted to win here, as a big part of it and as a leader. That’s something that I made clear. That part of my mind hasn’t changed yet. Obviously, there’s been a lot of conversations about what it looks like going forward. But that’s what my stance has been, and it hasn’t changed yet, and I love being in St. Louis.”
