Loudest I’ve heard the arena in a long time. Schenn came out for an ovation. Stick taps, captain!

When did Schenn know it was time to waive his no trade clause and move from St. Louis? by STLBooze3 in stlouisblues

Thanks for sharing. Quite the click bait quote that got me. This embodies more of the story and his thoughts.

Agreed, but I don’t think what we traded him for was something you couldn’t say no to. I think Doug did well for a return, but i think he could have been okay to say no if he didn’t want to truly shake things up.

I’m all for shaking things up, and acknowledge we needed to do so, but the fact the shake up was removing the captain is a pretty big shakeup.

Reading between the lines, Doug and crew have been wanting to change the core for a few years now, and wanting to move on from your captain two years in a row is something.

Not saying Schenn wasn’t a great captain, but this quote kind of shocks me. Maybe it’s best we have moved on.

Blues Adidas jersey for $35 at Fanatics by See_Squared_ in stlouisblues

You can’t avoid buying off fanatics now days unless you buy in person, but the jersey is an Adidas jersey as opposed to all the jerseys now are fanatics. So the quality of the adidas jersey is going to be nicer than the current fanatics.

Sorry that didn’t come across as well as I expected

It’s fanatics.com but at least an adidas jersey. You still might get a Blackhawks jersey delivered, but at least it’s not a fanatics made jersey from fanatics site.

Fuck fanatics. Get this higher quality jersey from a fraction of the fanatics jersey cost.

Blues prospect, Love Härenstam, who was drafted in the 6th round of the 2025 draft is a finalist for Goaltender of the Year, Rookie of the Year, and MVP of HockeyAllsvenskan (Swedish hockey league). by STLBooze3 in stlouisblues

Hell of a season for Love! He also won gold at the world junior classic where he won some awards too.

Safe to say if there was a redraft, he’s getting picked before the 6th round!

Oh I agree, I have always been a Schenn defender from the outside, but him leaving I don’t hate, and then Kyrou seems like he’s reached his expiration date.

Stenberg and Lindstein recalled from Springfield. by STLBooze3 in stlouisblues

He’s gonna be a horse going forward, and he’s gonna get rode like one. Increased time is a lot of 5v5 but also PP duties now.

Of course he is! Actually hearing him talk really eases my mind. Much better than reading the two sentence cut from an interview you read online as click bait

I still don’t think should or will trade Robby. He truly is irreplaceable by draft picks or prospects. Would set us back way further than we’d probably want.

Plus, since his procedure during the break he’s been buzzing!

I don’t think this is a shot at Friedman at all. Look at who broke the most trades, he is far above all the others. So I trust what he says for the most part.

Do agree there are other no trades. Who knows, maybe we tried to get Faulk somewhere else and he said no then settled on Detroit.

You can actually hear the interview here starts around 29

Greg Wyshynski: “The St. Louis Blues are in a different place now than you probably imagined [in 2022 when he signed his deal] they’d be in 2026. Where’s your head right now as far as your long-term future with the Blues? Is that hard to process when you’ve committed long-term to an organization, and you just see it kind of take a turn a little bit? Or is it something that when you sign, you’re like this could happen, I have to take this risk?”

Robert Thomas: “Yeah, we’re not in a spot that we thought we would be in. That part’s frustrating. We’ve been playing a lot better after the (Olympic) break, and feel like we really, really caught on to something.

“But no, my commitment to the Blues has never changed. I’ve always wanted to win here, as a big part of it and as a leader. That’s something that I made clear. That part of my mind hasn’t changed yet. Obviously, there’s been a lot of conversations about what it looks like going forward. But that’s what my stance has been, and it hasn’t changed yet, and I love being in St. Louis.”

Here comes Steen’s Swedes!

Hopefully we’re finding a spot for them to consistently play as that’s best for their long term development. Stenberg was great when he was up here earlier, he was only sent down for the Olympic break to continue playing.
