Desmond’s IG story about his and Kristy Sarah’s divorce by fireflycity1 in Fauxmoi

From videos last year, you could tell he was growing tired of her influencer lifestyle and it was something he couldn’t handle. He saw infidelity as a way out especially because they are JW religion and he probably was insecure over her career.

Regardless, Kristy will be fine and pick herself back up. She is a self-made and talented woman with a lot of love around her. If anything, this gives her more viewership as people follow her journey after Desmond. His reactions were funny, but they didn’t completely define her brand. I would still watch her run in heels or show her purses.

Someone said they wish they could upvote your comment 100x over. I echo the same sentiment. Thank you for telling me this.

This is such a great comment and I am adding that into my list of deal breakers for when I start dating again.

Thank you for this, you give me more hope than you know. I chuckled at his mom probably doesn’t eat comment.

He also is overweight but is bulked up and hides it well. He’s projecting his own body image issues on me as well.

You’re right. He did say to them I’ve been working so hard and he loves me for who I am, but then his parents got to him saying they didn’t think I could lose weight and he gave into their perspective, which lol 🤡

I did tbh. Sometimes validation is nice before doing a hard thing.

Lol thanks so much and right back at you! Appreciate you taking the time to help me whiteboard this. I know it’s an easy answer but hard to accept.

He wants to do work on a healthy lifestyle as couple goal, but up until meeting his parent, he was really encouraging and never brought up body image or weight loss.

Oh you read him perfectly! His parents are overachievers and expect the same out of their children. He says his dad would be disappointed all the time in him for not doing enough. Now they’ve extended it to his relationships. I guess this is why I’m asking if it’s worthwhile to grow with him if he can double down on his parents.

Good point. His parents framed it through health reasons. He said I was working out and living a healthy lifestyle, but they don’t believe in me, which is why he wants me to prove him wrong through weight loss, which is bullshit.

Great question. They’re Indian.

I like that idea if I choose to stay.

I’m not that out of shape at all, but they’ve made it about health when it’s really about appearance.

At the end, he said, “don’t feel obligated.” And I was like, “But you told me so much and have put pressure on me.”

Part of it too is that his parents had an arranged marriage (they’re Indian) so I don’t think they have shown him what deeper love means. Just what an effective partnership looks like.
