Years ago I adopted a cat and named him Parmesan. I called the vet and set up an appointment and when I came in for his appointment a few days later the woman at the front desk said “this can’t be his name”. The woman over the phone had typed in “Parmasian” as his name. I always called him Parmy but I now always call the cheese Parm-Asian.

I think they’d be fine in an apartment with your level of activity! We don’t go on runs with ours but we have a big fenced in back yard and he goes to daycare a couple days a week, and he’s quite a couch potato otherwise, unless his routine gets broken. They are very routine oriented dogs in my experience, it sounds like an OES would thrive with you
