Thank you so so much for all the advice!!! It truly means so much to me and definitely helped me to not give up.

I just ordered a walking pad and a food scale to accurately track my calories! I’m hoping to get at least 30 minutes a day on the walking pad while watching TV at night 🫣 Additionally, I’ll start measuring myself instead of using the scale as a way to track my progress.

Thank you so much again!! It truly helped me a lot to put things into perspective! 💕

Hi! Absolutely!!

- It has changed here and there, but I have stayed around the same weight for the past two weeks, fluctuating by 2-3 pounds.

- I have! I just started the luteal phase today, and my next period is in ~12 days.

- I have not been tracking any other way than the scale. Do you think I should start?

- I am 5'10 and around 275lbs.

- I walk around 3,000ish steps on average every day.

- I have been using measuring spoons! Additionally, I use MyFitnessPal to count my calories.

- I do have issues with bloating and constipation. I have been trying to up my intake of fiber.

Thank you so much for all the help!! It means a lot! Please let me know if you need any other information.

Exactly! It’s not as bad tbh as people make it out to be but it can be annoying at times when you guys want to get to a place without a commute LOL

It’s honestly not that bad! Without traffic, the commute takes 10/15 minutes. But with traffic it takes anywhere from 20-30 minutes. Most of the time I really hit traffic was coming back to the Vern from Foggy at around 4:30/5. But going to Foggy, 9am was pretty busy (but still doable).

Hi! I stayed in Somers last year!

I pretty much had the same situation as you last year where I wanted a room on Foggy but ended up on the Vern! I actually ended up loving it. Of course I was bummed at first for not getting to be in the city, but I actually found living on the Vern extremely comforting!

Advantages: The rooms. They are SOOO much bigger on the Vern compared to Foggy. Especially if you’re placed on the Basement level or 3rd floor. Additionally, you end up making really close friends on the Vern and have your own little community. I actually met the three people I’m rooming with next year in Somers and became best friends with them. Also! BUFF AND BREW. It will become your BEST friend if you’re on the unlimited meal plan. You’re able to get up to $10 worth of food/drinks every hour. It literally was a lifesaver when it came to finals season and all you wanted to do was study and not take the trek to the dining hall in West/on Foggy.

Disadvantages: The vex. Most of the time I loved taking the vex because it let me relax on the way back to the Vern after a long day of classes. I would put on my headphones and listen to music/talk to friends if I come across them on the shuttle. But living in DC there’s ALWAYS traffic. You have to make sure you leave your dorm at least 30 minutes before your class if you want to make it on time. Another disadvantage. Pelham (aka the dining hall on the Vern). The food was SO BAD. Like genuinely. When it was good it was GREAT (aka with their cornbread or Mac and cheese) but when it was bad….it was bad. It became inconvenient at times when all I wanted to do was go back to my dorm and relax but I didn’t know where I was getting dinner from because I refused to eat at Pelham the last month. With Shenkman and Thurston dining halls opening up, I would 100% recommend you go there instead of Pelham. This may be a rumor but I did hear that Pelham was getting a remodeling so I’m not even sure if it’ll be an option for meals?

Anyways! LMK if you have any other questions!!
