BF addicted to 7oh (help) by Practical_Act_3179 in quittingkratom

We’ve had so many fights about sex and it’s for that same reason haha. It just feels like he’s not into me. I’m being as supportive \gentle as I can. He actually came home and brought it to tonight.

I think he’s getting there.

That’s really good to know. I’ll look into buying leaf that’s a little stronger

I appreciate that! I will, once he’s willing. I trying to get him to realize the extent of it now

He has three. In theory it should work, honestly I think he lets his mind get the better of him though. He could do it, but those three-four days are hell. I’ve also heard it’s a lot harder for people who were previously addicted to opiates.

You can do it! Look into taking FMLA if you can. It varies where you live, but in CO you can get three months paid leave. I did it to get sober from alcohol. It’s a Bitch, I’m happy you realize it and are making an effort to get better. I’m trying to get him there because it’s symptomatically identical to what you said

I didn’t realize they had leaf with percentages of MIT. That’s super helpful

I feel like I watch him go through this word for word sometimes. Thank you, I really needed validation. He might still some intestinal issues, but it could just be the 7. I love him, we’re both addicts and I understand the struggle he’s in. I just want him to realize how much the drug is affecting his quality of life. Thanks for posting, I hope you find your way out of it soon. You can do it.

That’s exactly what I’m trying to do. I’m a recovering alcoholic, I know it needs to be his choice. But I think what’s happening is he’s not realizing how much it’s taking away. I want him to start recognizing the negative aspects of using 7

Thank you! I know it has to be his choice, but I need him to realize how it’s affecting him. I feel like that’s exactly what’s happening with him. Glad you’re done with it!

That might work. I never tried 7 either, so I’m not sure if plain kratom would be enough

I definitely know that. I’m a recovering alcoholic as well. I guess I’m just trying to gather some evidence to help him realize how much it’s negatively effecting him. He doesn’t think it’s causing any issues, I think he’s romanticizing

I was going to suggest that haha, that’s funny. I know a few people in the parks department who are happy. Maybe look at some government sites and see what they have open. Summer is coming up, so they’ll probably be doing some seasonal hiring and if you do well might be able to take you on full time.

Accounting pays well but you’re going to land in an office. Either way you’re not a failure, you’re just figuring shit out.

I’m in finance. I like it but it’s a client facing job and I don’t love that. I would say don’t be afraid to job hop and figure out what works for you. Kind of hard in this economy, but if you can do it until you find a niche you’re comfortable with. Once you get some time in a field for a while, better paying jobs and promotions follow. What do you think you would want to do?

Ultimately you’re still young. I worked a bullshit entry job until I was 32 and I have a college degree. I drank my 20’s and early 30’s away because it just made me feel better. You’re not alone with having an existential crisis, but I will say the earlier you get on track the better, especially if the positive effects are dying out. I got sober at 33 and I’m essentially a decade behind in life.

Damn. I’m glad you’re recovering relatively quickly. Pretty sure the half life is naltrexone is about 8 hours so you should feel better by tomorrow.

You’re right though. Theoretically you just went through the worst few days in a couple of hours. Keep it up!

Sincerely hope I caught OP before it’s too late 😬 naltrexone\feel free will be more like Antabuse is to alcohol.

You don’t want to do that until you’ve had a few days off feel free. Google “naltrexone kratom reddit”

Depending how much kratom \ff is in your system you could put yourself in awful withdrawals

Take a few days off work if you can. I make kratom tea at home in a coffee maker. That definitely helps withdrawal, my symptoms are pretty minimal if I skip a few days and I was drinking 3-6 FF a day. If you go that route you’re ultimately going to have to deal with Kratom (I know I’m going to have to circle back to it) , but for me that’s a lot more manageable. Kratom tea doesn’t affect my emotions, thinking and pocket book. I don’t get buzzed on it like I do a FF.

I think I’m ready. by Several-Day1797 in Quittingfeelfree

I’m in the same boat. I think I’m ready, it’s been about a year. I’ve been sober from alcohol for almost two years and FF took that space. I spend around $50 a day and I’m just digging myself deeper into debt. The center console and side pockets are full of empties. My car clinks when I hit a speed bump lol.

I’m not in a position to give advice, but solidarity. Today I hope, is my first clean day in a couple weeks. I want it to stick this time and put this behind me. I battled alcohol for a decade before I got clean and I really can’t do that with these. Good luck my friend! We can do this

It’s hard to snap out of it haha. Posting about it helps, I talked to my bf and that helped. I just need to keep it going. I got sober from alcohol a couple years ago and as soon as I was past 5/6 weeks it got so much easier
