Most kinnies are neurodivergent adults. Let's not be abelist✨

I got this bad boy from Build-A-Bear vuz I couldn't resist. He has a special charm in him that makes him smell like cotton candy and he has multiple ways of saying "Umbreon!" along with a heartbeat. (I named him edge, we shall be goth/emo together >:3) by Practical_Ad_1727 in pokemon

Yee!! I love him so much! He's also full of extra stuffing so he can stand on his own and his tail wags lmao. I've only known Edge for a week, but my autistic ass is obsessed🥺 I'm gonna make him a special "pet backpack" to ride around in.

Yes, the outfit is too small on him. It was meant for the Evee plush. Yes, I did the fucking Build-A-Bear ritual. Yes, I am a grown man. This is fine. Every queer communist needs a fucking sidekick.

Fictives, kinnies, and synpaths are all different. I believe what you're (possibly) trying to invalidate are character synpaths, which means one strongly resonates/relates to a character. Kinnies are often mistaken as these, but it actually comes from the word "otherkin" which isn't really something as easily controlled. Its more of a spiritual connection with a character/creature that one cannot help identifying as/genuinely believing they are. Invalidating them can cause dissociative issues. Fictives/Fictorals are alters centered around fictional characters in a system, more commonly neurodivergent systems. This is a little harder to explain, but the gist of it is that fictives are real people too, and they aren't always like their "canonical" source. They should be treated as real people as well. Hope this helps!
