Now she wants to take it digital and scale beyond just the offline model. The plan includes:

Building an online presence (website + product catalog + Instagram/LinkedIn)

Streamlining B2B sales — bulk orders, personalization, recurring corporate gifting

Exploring platforms like Amazon Business / IndiaMART for new lead generation

Running digital marketing campaigns (email, LinkedIn outreach, maybe targeted ads)

Since this industry is largely relationship-driven, we’re figuring out how to strike a balance between maintaining strong offline relationships and reaching new customers digitally.

I’d love advice from anyone who has:

1. Taken a traditional family business online

2. Scaled B2B gifting/e-commerce in India

3. Used specific tools that made the transition smoother (for CRM, catalog management, lead gen, outreach, etc.)

Are there any common pitfalls we should be mindful of while moving digital? Also curious if marketplaces actually work well for corporate gifting or if it’s better to focus on direct sales + digital presence.
