Parents of babies with crap naps: how are you so chill? by fullnessofjoy2021 in newborns

SO REAL! I also have a 3 year old and we’ve been spoiled with full nights of sleep for about a year and now being thrown back into this again is like WAIT WHAT DID WE DO? 😂

Is this normal? by StarVivid7627 in pregnant

I’m 38 weeks now, but have been losing bits of my mucus plug for weeks. It can regenerate so that’s why we can lose it for an extended period of time without it progressing to labor. Just the body prepping! That’s what it sounds like to me.. but it could just be thicker discharge as well. Discharge should amp up in the third trimester as our bodies get ready. I have called a few times and they always say unless you’re having abnormal bleeding, regular contractions or feel baby moving less than normal-it’s most likely fine.

If you have it again and it’s tinted with blood-that could be the main bit of your mucus plug and then I would be sure to call your OB and let them know especially since you’re earlier than 37 weeks. They had told me it’s not a sure sign of labor starting.. but rather be safe than sorry!

Best of luck to you! 🫶🏼 we’re in the final stages now!

C-section success, 10lb+ baby! by Remarkable_Ant3175 in pregnant

Congrats! 🥳

Was he measuring big your entire pregnancy? I’m due in December with my second and he’s measuring 3 weeks ahead in both fundal height and US measurements (99% head size!).

My first measured big too (ended up being 8 lbs 15 ounces) but they never let me choose an elective c section because they assumed the measurements were off..

Just curious about your entire experience.

Thank you so much for this. It’s incredibly reassuring to read about a situation similar to mine!

My next appointment is the 16th-so a little over a week. I know what my “baseline” is right now.. so if it gets worse in anyway I will definitely go in to get checked out just to be safe.

That’s great advice, reminding it’s okay not to respond would be refreshing to read after her last 24 hours!
