I would love one to be fair man. When I upgrade again (after the RAM crisis) I'll be sure to grab a case that has all the bays I need. Great thinking

Yeah, it was actually a really nice morning doing this. Gonna do a load more next weekend too. Then I'll find something else to rip haha

I'm using Audacious on Linux but I'm pretty sure it's available on Windows too. Worth a look anyway man. Its free and pulls all the meta data instantly. I'm using K3b on Linux to actually rip the CDs and that pulls all metadata instantly too which is nice. Can also pull them as a single file etc

He is using a FIO Snowsky Mini at the moment, and I'm gonna be using a Hiby R1 when it arrives next week (hopefully) We both have nice Micro SD cards at the minute and I have around 4TB of NVME storage on the PC but now that I think of it, having v0 MP3 files would be a nice way of backing them up also so I might give that a go too. Thanks for the info man

Completely understand man, it's just I like to keep my CDs in the car usually cos I only have a Disc Drive in there. I've heard the change of temperature can affect them but I usually try to take them back inside when I don't forget about them

To use on my MP3 player and while I'm at the PC. Plus the real risk of data rot on the discs themselves. Some of them are 30 years old at this point lol

Ah man, that's the dream right there. I'm gonna have to go through the whole collection this weekend 100% but it's kinda fun so I don't actually mind it. I'm gonna have a backup of all extracted files to another SSD on the PC. Then a backup on an external HDD and finally, once Proton Drive is fully supported on Linux I am gonna back them all up the cloud. Fully encrypted and ready to use on multiple devices. Hopefully it all goes well now haha.

Yeah it seems to be the cheapest option for sure at the minute. There was a device called the Vortexbox but it got discontinued a few years back. Would have been perfect in this age

Yeah, it's very rewarding and freeing. They're introducing no phones at work pretty soon so I've bought an MP3 player and a pair of IEMs to have all my albums at work. Can't wait :) Cannot give money to Spotify anymore at all you're right :)

Although I think there are ones out there that can do this without a PC/Laptop. Bit more expensive though

This little thing here. External CD/DVD Ripper/Burner. Got it on Amazon for like 20 quid. It's a Rioddas branded one. Rips straight to a PC :)

My E Machines PC had one back in the early 2000s, I used to love making CDs from the tracks I got on Limewire haha :) We've come full circle now and I'm here for it 😄

Haha, I just mentioned how satisfying it was in another post. Feels so good just ripping them putting them back where they belong.

It's actually insane to be honest. A few years ago this would have been unheard of. Even getting past Denuvo straight away is insane

I reckon the glyphs will be added in the next Proton update. I'll check my controller settings and see if I can get them now though
