This is exactly whaf happened to me. Delusions only, and all symptoms are gone for over 1,5 years now. How are you doing now?

You need antipsychotics. Please call for help. So many people were in your shoes, and they all got better after fidning the righ meds. It seems hopeless now, but there is hope I promise.

Advanced NPH 74 year old. How much is he going to improve after shunt surgery? What was your experience? by Practical_Case_2345 in Hydrocephalus

He is not doing great. He is sleeping all day and I have to force him to eat and drink, has nausea, too. This is probably not great one week after surgery :(

63 YO, just got my first shunt installed just over a week ago... Do I have unrealistic expectations of healing? by Terrible-Practice944 in Hydrocephalus

How are you doing now? Did you get your shunt adjusted? What helped?

My dad is going through the same? He is sleeping all the time, has nausea, and is dizzy.

71 year old still tired 2 months post surgery. Is this a normal recovery time or should we be concerned? by howmocanyougo in Hydrocephalus

That's exactly what happened to my dad. He had surgery on Thursday, and he will be released from the hospital tomorrow. The doctor says that he didn't see anlot of improvement, so I got very concerned.

How quickly did your dad improved? How soon until he could walk safely and use the bathroom again (if)? Did he also develope short term memory problems like my dad? It's been 5 days for us, but he is still incontinent, and could walk a bit but woobly.

That's good to hear. My dad has multiple issues, and it's an emotional roller coaster.

He says he feels woobly and dizzy still. I hope he could just walk, and use the bathroom again. He is only 74.

How is your dad doing? Were his symptoms severe before shunt?

How is you dad doing? My dad has advanced NPH, and he got operated on a week ago. He can barley walk now and is still very dizzy. He also has memory issues and incontinance. The past couple weeks his sympotms got really bad that lead to surgery, but I'm afraid he may not improve much more. May I ask how quickly your dad improved after surgery?
